And that totally indicates that Fer has been riding on Austin's glory

Fer has always been talented I'm not going to argue his merits. He was class in the Eredivisie and has really grown into the EPL. He would be a solid, and relatively inexpensive addition.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2015
No Art where on earth did i ever mention that! My point was the stats you brought forward of he is close to assists of Couta, where maybe influenced because of a better striker infront. And Couta with a fit Sturridge alone would have blown that out proportions. So, the comparisons are just unjust according to me.
Anyways I have never been like someone who goes into an argument so i don't see any point in continuing this. My apologies but i just don't wanna end up like a doppelganger of RA here

how many times do we have to make this mistake that performing for mid-table/relegation fodder does NOT equal to performing for LFC ?!

How much have you watched of Leroy Fer? Just curious, because it seems that people like to just hate on players based on where they are coming from without looking at them as individuals and their performances.
A lot of top teams in other leagues buy the best players from mid to lower table teams in the same league, from the Bundesliga to Serie A.

Fer is pretty much in Lallana's talent & ability level and we paid £20m for Lallana. Fer would probably be available for 10m or less. I'm not saying he should be our main signing or the second or third, but he's a no-brainer squad player in an area where we need people.

Bayern showing interest in Sterling according to BILD.
Now Gotze could sweeten the deal!

Would love a straight swap with Gotze. No other money required. Just give us Gotze and take Sterling.
Would also accept Muller or Thiago or Lewandowski.

Sterling won't move outside of England, of this I'm sure, not that any of the Bayern players would be willing to come to Liverpool.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2015
honestly, we deserve to be mediocre.
go to a City/Utd/Arsenal/Man Utd forum....and see if they long for likes of Ings or Fer,
Yet we justify buying mediocrity window after window.
He'll only be 6m, he'll be free, etc...good squad player.
That's how 21M was pissed on Aspas, Ilori, and Alberto....that have contirbuted ZERO total to this club, and this 21M could ahve bought us a player that had helped us win the league last season or get top 4 this season.
QUALITY over QUANTITY.
I hope we learn one day in our life-time.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2015
Ilori by himself will take care of that 21m imo Kid will be world class under the right manager I have no doubt. Only injuries and Brenda could stop him.
But yeah I agree.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2015
No AM players please, for f footballs sake use the academy and the scrub bench-WC potential(we already bought) for the games if we need depth. No more Fer signings. Get a proper CM in the class of Pjanic if the clubs signs any other player than a striker.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2015
Coates has been at the heart of these final few clean sheet relegation saving performances. This is decent news but i dont think Coates has anything left in Liverpool to stay for.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2015
Pedro available for 7M pounds.
But yea...let's sign Danny Ings or Leroy Fer who'll cost the same with tribunal/signing on fee.
One is a winner and has won anything that's to be won in football and is used to winning every week.
the other 2 are relegation specialist and are used to being beaten every weekend.
Knowing us, it's painfully obvious which one we'd sign

Just sign Song on a free if you want "depth". He's better too...

I really don't see your argument.
Lambert + Lallana had 20+ goals next to them at Soton...
They arrived, how much did they score exactly?

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2015
So, with Raheem leaving, do you suppose we need to another wide-attacking player or do you suppose a combination of Lallana, Ibe, Markovic and Origi will suffice???

I am really saddened by some of your capacity to take things out of proportion and some what off topic to make your point. I clearly was talking about this seasons performances. Nothing else. And my point was just to argue on the comparison made with Fer and Coutinho.

no we dont. But it depends on what kind of wide player you want, if you say a wide forward like Pedro or Walcott who have an eye for goal, answer is yes but not any other type of wide player.
What we need is a CM who can be also creative or/and goal scoring midfielder like prime Gerrard and a striker. I would not have signed Depay as said by Art even if we lose Sterling, we need to give those minutes to Markovic, Ibe and Lallana and some academy player.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2015
What about Dzeko + cash for Sterling?
I'd prefer Dzeko to Jovetic, before this season Dzeko's PL goals have been 14, 14 and 16 per season, Jovetic has had 3 and 5. Dzeko isn't really getting a look in after they signed Bony, so he's probably on the move.
