I'd wait the end of the season, Red Alert. Main reason Liverpool has those stats is because of the terrible first 3 months, now Pool is pretty much another team and has been the most in form teams in England, playing close to 13/14 level. My spider senses tell me you will finish above City.

We were terrible for the first 6 months, not 3.
And we ALWAYS have had strong finishes in the past 20 years.
Why do you think this "chart" was made? lol

Arsenal FC got their marquee signing sanchez and are still -10 points in this season only behind Everton who are that gives me so much joy. But at the same time we are third in that ranking with -8 points.
Liverpool FC, Rodgers really took so long to get his senses together and put everything right in this season. but still there is some hope because of recent form and that Studge is back. As KATY said, I would wait till the end of the season before I judge Rodgers

Here's another intereting way to look at it, if Southampton were having an equally good season last year they would not be in the top 4 with 46 points.

well I dont have statistics but I think all those top 6 teams from last season are struggling,at least performance wise (except Chelsea), from the few games i have seen in this season.

No, they wont. Not with Aguero fit and firing. He can single handedly win it for them even if other players dont deliver. Onus will be on him not getting injured now of course.

Tim Sherwood has been appointed Aston Villa manager.
This'll be a laugh.

I am against Sherwood too , firstly I don't know if he is really a coach lol I don't get because he has good " hype " , because he has requestes in Premier League .
I mean, Pulis resignes and Crystal Palace wants him as first choice, WBA sacks Irvine and Sherwood was first name, now Aston Villa...
what did he do to be so rated ? He coached just Tottenham in career and he was shit. Oh well , it is not easy to manage the rivals of your favourite team ...

Sherwood is an asshole but there's nothing to suggest he's an awful manager. He actually did a good job at Spurs result wise.
Plus unlike Lambert he's a positive manager and will likely look to attack teams so players like Benteke won't be feeding off scraps.

Yeah, I would prefer not because he's an asshole and after Pardew I want to be proud of my club again and not be managed by a dickhead embarrassment.
But at least Sherwood is positive and looks to attack teams and not the negative defeatists Pardew and Lambert are.

Re: Barclay's Premier League '14-'15 discussion V7
Sherwood would be a bemusing appointment for any club, but especially so for one peering down the barrel of relegation. The guy is a big fat nobody (and a painfully cringeworthy one at that given some of his behaviour at Tottenham) and if AVB were still Spurs manager, no one would anything more than vaguely even know his name. His hype among the media is borne entirely out of the fact that he's English. If some foreign bloke formerly a miscellaneous assistant manager got thrown the reins at Spurs in December, proceeded to win 14 and lose 10 of his 28 matches, and finish 6th in the League 10 points off a Champions League spot (+£100m having been invested in the squad the summer before), there'd have been a fare-thee-well and you'd never have heard the wanker's name mentioned again. But because wee Timmy happens to be English, he's Bobby Robson incarnate. The only thing good to come of all of this is that we'll not have to hear and read about the bellend in the news a thousand times anymore every time a manager gets canned. Oh, and of course the now-increased likelihood that the Premier League will at last be shot of Aston sodding Villa.

Re: Barclay's Premier League '14-'15 discussion V7
Sherwood doing haldway decent at Tottenham was due to getting a new face in management after some embarrassing defeats that helped the team "start over" and more importantly Adebayor playing at his peak. Nothing more to it really.

You really would think that a Premier League club would be able to get someone more convincing as their manager than Sherwood with his half-a-season experience from management.

Re: Barclay's Premier League '14-'15 discussion V7
I wouldn't take their selecting him as the equivalent of their not being able to lure anyone better. I'm sure they could have attracted someone with more experience and maybe even half a brain, but they went with wee Timmy anyway. Which if anything, makes their appointing him even worse. Why go for someone with 6 months' experience both in the top flight and as a number one altogether (and a pretty mediocre 6 months, at that) if they could have signed up someone who'd have given them a better chance of staying up?

Re: Barclay's Premier League '14-'15 discussion V7
People here are acting like Sherwoods 6 months with Spurs first team was his only experience with management. He'd been the U21's manager for 2 years before rightfully earning the caretaker job and in that time he'd got to the U-21's final, and had created massive talent that Tottenham are currently reaping the benefits of.
Now i'm not going to act like theres not a massive difference between U-21's football and a premier league relegation battle, but I think he knows this is the best move for him. Villa has got good youth talent that would be looking to prove themselves and a top striker in Benteke that when motivated much like Adebayor, can stick the ball in the back of the net.
If he can get a proper system worked out, I actually think this could be a really good move on Villa's part.

They'll stay up regardless, people underestimate how bad the bottom half is. It's the same with us as shite as we and Villa are we/them won't go down because there are multiple teams who are worse.
