Balotelli has suffered from bad management. He's not a striker. Early on, he had the skills to play where it really mattered: up top. But as emerged into the highest level it became apparent that he wasn't a natural striker. Yet every manager has played him as one. He's really a midfielder. His career has suffered from no one realizing his true position, the midfielder.

Wish him all the best at Nice - as a striker, because they're not going to realize it either, are they.

It's great that he's finally off from Liverpool. And I am happy about that.

And that was indeed a rational and logical post from Art, which I found Nice. :coffee:

I'm glad it's permanent and not just a loan. We don't have to deal with it anymore.

I can't believe I knee jerked and bought a Balotelli kit the day he signed for us Laughing Haven't worn it once. Probably won't even go on ebay for $5.

He going to play on top as the central striker at Nice... that's what he's been signed up for.

Took a massive paycut too and the transfer is quasi free (rumor is it's 600k)....  so he wants to try and make it succeed.  His annual wage at Nice is rumored to be 1.7 mil euros.

Scratch that... the fee was zero according to RMC.

The manager at Nice is Lucien Favre this season... coming from Borussia M'gladbach as you well know. He likes to attack and play fast.

They've gotten 7 points in 3 games so far in Ligue 1... by playing great defense Laughing

They need a scorer. Koziello, Plea, Bosetti, Eyserric, etc. are good playmakers but not finishers. That's why Ben Arfa scored so much at Nice last season. Losing both Ben Arfa and Germain was a big blow. Balo is going to have to take a lot of the scoring load.

Balo will get his chance. If he takes it, he will score a lot.

I'm not going to predict anything though. He is more likely to flop.

I think Balotelli was on his last year of contract at Liverpool, so it didn't really matter to us whether it was a loan or a permanent deal, it was going to be the final end of his LFC career anyway. Also, I doubt he had financially better offers on the table.

Pretty sure Blackburn Rovers had him lined up as the Riquelme & Ronaldinho back-up plan.

Carragher at 35 kept23 year old Balotelli in his back pocket for 90 minutes.

Carragher has played at a level that Balotelli will never achieve in his career.

Mario thinks he's coming out on top here by dissing Carra but he looks like a dumbass. Has score 2 goals in 2 full seasons as a CF and is calling someone else a bad player.

if you took Mario Balotelli best bits and put them in a 4k UHD compilation video it would fit on a 3½-inch floppy disk.
