FC Barcelona terminate the contract of Andoni Zubizarreta as Director of Football

The Club thank Zubizarreta for his contribution, dedication and professionalism over the last four years
The FC Barcelona President Josep Maria Bartomeu has decided to terminate as of today the contract of the Club’s Director of Football, Andoni Zubizarreta.

The President, in the name of the Club, thanks Andoni Zubizarreta for his contribution, dedication and professionalism over the last four years in his role at the head of the Club’s football area.

FC Barcelona goalkeeper between 1986 and 1994, the man from Vitoria in the Basque Country returned to the Club in July 2010 to take up the role of Director of Football.

good news, but all is not done yet. The board needs elections soon and somebody (maybe Laporta) needs to get in on this and prise everything away from them so that we can rebuild.

Its great news, but its too late, its not like his replacement can sign players...or do anything really.

yes but both the club and Messi on his fb have stated that this is because of a stomach flu. Catalán media saying this is because of a clash of egos with LE.
