Juventus terminate Lucio contract
Juventus have terminated the contract of Lucio, just five months after he joined the club.
The veteran Brazil defender has made just four appearances for the Scudetto champions this season, after arriving on a free transfer from Inter over the summer.
The 34-year-old had previously expressed his frustration at a lack of playing time with the Serie A leaders, and has now seen his deal cancelled by mutual consent, leaving him free to consider a move to another club.
A statement on Juventus' official website read: "The adventure of Lucio in black and white has finished. The Juventus and Brazil defender has reached an agreement for the consensual termination of his contract.
"Arriving on a free transfer this summer, in recent months Lucio has made four official appearances for Juventus: one in the league, two in the Champions League and one in the Italian Super Cup in Beijing."
Bundesliga side Wolfsburg are one of the clubs rumoured to be interested in Lucio, who last month admitted he would seriously consider a return to Germany's top flight.

Can't say I'm happy but I'm definitely not sad to lose him.

Re: Juventus terminate Lucio contract
Juventus have confirmed that they have rescinded the contract of Lucio – just a matter of months following his arrival.
The Brazilian veteran was netted on a free transfer in the summer after his Inter deal was also scrapped.
Lucio, 34, made only four appearances for the Turin giants – one in Serie A, two in the Champions League and one in the Italian Super Cup Final.
The stopper is expected to continue his career in Germany or Brazil.

Re: Juventus terminate Lucio contract
Thats great, but i also want Masi back. That would also allow Marrone to cover as a midfielder instead of defense. This is what i want to look like after the January transfer market closes:
--Buffon--
--Barzagli-- --Bonucci-- --Chiellini--
--Lichsteiner-- --Vidal-- --Pirlo-- --Marchisio-- --Asamoah--
--Drogba/Immobile-- --Vucinic--
--Storari--
--Sorensen-- --Masi-- --Caceres--
--Isla/Pepe-- --Padoin-- --Pogba-- --Marrone-- --Giacch/PDC--
--Quags/Immobile-- --Giovinco--

Re: Juventus terminate Lucio contract
I wouldn't bring Masi back, the kid needs to play
Marrone has been fine as a CB, I like what he is able to do there
Caceres is also a capable CB
Padoin is another one who could also fill this role on occasion (although it isn't ideal)

Marrone isn't ideal there either, at least considering his talents in midfield.. He is doing good but I still think his talents are getting wasted at the back.
