They pushed a good Atletico side to the limit. That should be applauded. They have this 'loser' rep, but I feel it's unfair to tag them with that after tonight's match.

The thing is there was no better time than playing Atleti now. They are in very bad form ,coupled with Injuries this is the worst form they have been in a while. They were there for the taking.

Rizzoli is famous for it

he didn't give a red card to Totti when Totti insulted him three times in a row saying him *bleep* off .
Infact he is a referee who lacks of personality , I remind that Roma-Inter Coppa Italia final who became the 4th Punic War but he gave 0 red card.

The sad thing is, that the main thing I like about Rizzoli is something every ref could just do - insta-card any player that gets in your face.

You get crowded by both teams? Card both captains.
Someone tries to argue with you about a decision? Card.
Any player gestures at you in a provocative way? Card.

Keep this up for the first 20 minutes of the match and even Spanish players will shut up.

That was almost as bad as Howard Webb's gaffe in the World cup final. Dante is not worthy of the Bayern Jersey.

The funniest thing is that he probably had no clue who he was. The only ref that is important is is Ovrebo of the sextuple. He changed Barcelona's history and revolutionised the Refgista position. He will be in Jonathan Wilson's next update of inverting the pyramid for sure.

N.Rizzoli is by far and away the best official in football. Like many top profile refs he is susceptible to mistakes yet has excellent command of the game, does not succumb to pressure and is very consistent. Was very happy for him when he officiated the World Cup final.

As for the game, dull as drywall watching it yet Atleti deserved the game as Torres clinching the winning penalty hit the sweet spot for my day.
