Bayer vs Dortmund

Sunday, 03.02.2013 - 17:30 GMT+1 – BayArena (Leverkusen)
On Sunday, the reigning German champions and cup winners, Borussia Dortmund will face current 2nd placed Bundesliga team and table neighbours, Bayer 04 Leverkusen.
Start of the 2nd half season has been successful indeed! After trashing Werder Bremen 0-5 away from home, Borussia Dortmund had another comfortable 3-0 win against 1. FC Nürnberg. On the other hand Bayer couldn't build on their 4-1 win against Frankfurt as they drew against a tough Freiburg side last week.
Did you know?
- Leverkusen are currently unbeaten at home in the Bundesliga this season, and have won their last five BayArena clashes.
- What's more, they have only lost two of their last 16 games. Ominously, these both came on a Sunday afternoon.
- Werkself midfielder Lars Bender (pictured, right) could face his twin brother Sven in the centre of the park on Sunday. The Leverkusen man has never beaten his sibling.
- Dortmund have only lost one of their last 11 games against Leverkusen - a 2-0 home reverse on the opening day of the 2010-11 season.
- Robert Lewandowski has scored 12 Bundesliga goals this season. Only Stefan Kiessling, his opposite number on Sunday, has scored more.
- Jakub 'Kuba' Blaszczykowski has provided eight assists this season, his personal best-ever tally.
Team news:
Borussia Dortmund: Bittencourt (suspended), Owomoyela, Subotic (injured) are out. Schmelzer and Lewandowski both had a late test and both are available for tomorrow.
Bayer Leverkusen: Bellarabi is out for tomorrow, Kadlec will have a late fitness test and coach will decide later today if he'll play. Other than that everyone else is fit.
Probable line-ups:
Borussia Dortmund:
Weidenfeller
Piszczek Santana Hummels Schmelzer
Kehl Gündogan
Blaszczykowski Götze Reus

Re: Bayer Leverkusen vs Borussia Dortmund
leverkusen lol, they should have got at least a point but shot themselves in the foot. Dortmund are good but overrated imo, great counterattacking though, they can hurt any team on the counter. If they keep their young players they could maybe be great in a couple of years

that play was too sick... in the first few minutes.RealGunner wrote:
I really agree with that, but for a team with an average age of around 23, they are killin it. Klopp is creating a powerhouse and i am extremely excited to see the improvement of the team and its players in the next few years. Not to mention they are very entertaining to watch haha.Diego Armando Maradona wrote:leverkusen lol, they should have got at least a point but shot themselves in the foot.
