Re: Klopp sack watch - Liverpool Edition
The problem is as we can see klopp can't adapt his game to get the most out of a squad. He needs a squad to play his way. Liverpool do not have the funds to buy a whole new squad for klopp. So people should just except that we will not make top 4 for years if at all.

Liverpool look clueless when they attack, don't know if it's because of tactics or they genuinely lack quality in the front line.

Give him some *bleep* time. Liverpool have been a mid table team for some time. My days, give him at least a full season. Also, the players are awful.

Re: Klopp sack watch - Liverpool Edition
every game we are seeing Moreno defend badly and make mistakes and mig is a terrible keeper yet klopp gives one a 5 year contract and still let's Moreno bomb forward and always get cought out at the back. We are seeing the same basic mistakes from the team week after week and it don't look like changing.jibers wrote:Give him some *bleep* time. Liverpool have been a mid table team for some time. Plus klopp never tries something different. The slow build up don't work as we have seen since klopp got here. We have benteke on the bench. Why not change the way we play and get the best out of him.

If Chelsea win tomorrow they are 3 points behind Liverpool. So guus has come to Chelsea made no signings and turned it round really quick. Ranieri has taken a relegation fodder squad that cost 20mil to put together and now sit top of the lge. And it didn't take him 2 years and 150 mil. Klopp has not improved one thing since he came. In fact I think the team is worst.

cant win as a manager eh.
Anyway happy for pool to do what they do best and sack him at the end of the season. Could be good timing should AW decide to retire.

People keep saying the players are not good enough. Can anyone really say klopp is squeezing every last bit from them players. If it's all down to the players not being good enough then you would have to say klopp will have to buy about 8 top class players and at today's rate Liverpool cant afford to do. So what ever way you look at it nothing is gonna get better

Re: Klopp sack watch - Liverpool Edition
How do you expect him to get the most of his players when he is new to the team/league, the players still need time to adjust to him, he didn't have a pre season and he had no say in who stays or goes?
The expectation on him should be EL, nothing more and nothing less.

Re: Klopp sack watch - Liverpool Edition
with good coaching and no money spent Leicester have gone from relegation fodder to title contenders. Now I'm not expecting that. But I would like to see improvement. Do you think when Liverpool watched lallana if he had zero end product Liverpool would have bid for him. If Moreno Sakho and Lovren were defending like they are now for there old clubs Liverpool would have paid all that money for them. Every player in the Liverpool squad has played far far better than they are now. It's upto klopp to sort out a way to get the best out of them. If he has them playing at 100% and they come up short then you can say we don't have the talent. People saying it's not his team or his players but all said and done we have a keeper 4 defenders 4 mf players and strikers. Not one single player has improved under klopp. Not one single player is playing at the top of their potential under klopp.BarrileteCosmico wrote:How do you expect him to get the most of his players when he is new to the team/league, the players still need time to adjust to him, he didn't have a pre season and he had no say in who stays or goes?

Re: Klopp sack watch - Liverpool Edition
so you blame Klopp because "look at Leicester"?
Klopp should be judged on what he achieves next season. He is a manager that players want to play for, without CL he is your best chance of attracting talent in the summer window.

Re: Klopp sack watch - Liverpool Edition
What examples are there of a top tier player leaving their team to come play for Klopp?
I asked this a few seasons ago when people were saying that the reason we couldn't attract big name players was because we had a no name manager.
Sorry, but players 99% of the time go for money and prestige. So a CL club, or a lot of money (or both). Sure I'm sure some players really like Klopp but the reality is that they will go where the money or chance of winning is.
Liverpool have money so they're going to need to spend it and hope that their next few transfers are better than the ones they've made, for the most part, over the last long while.

That team just needs some work beyond the manager imo. Klopp is fine
I'm not liking his team selections at all. He is playing a lot of players with 0 creativity, leaving his only genuine goal scorer on the bench, and continues to play players that have been complete liabilities for a long time while leaving players that have impressed on the bench.
I like Klopp, love what he did for Dortmund, and I still think that will get the summer and next season to be judged but he is not doing well with what he has right now. People love him so they refuse to look at the negatives and deficiencies he has had as a manager so far (they blame management, transfers and the current squad only), but he has not been doing well. I'm still reserving judgement, obviously, as he will get the benefit of the doubt to change things with the summer and so on but he has shown 0 adaptability as the manager of this club (so far).

Re: Klopp sack watch - Liverpool Edition
no. I'm just pointing out what a good bit of coaching can do in a small amount of time. This Leicester team were close to relegation last season. This Liverpool squad has never been close to relegation.Peccadillo wrote:so you blame Klopp because "look at Leicester"?

Again people say judge klopp next season. Does it take a season to see how bad Moreno and mig are.

But it's not analogous at all, Ranieri had a pre-season and a say in transfers

Huth, Kante, Okazaki?
I don't actually know how much Ranieri had to do with any of them but those are some key players who were signed for 15/16.
I think the point is that there is no basis to draw either Ranieri or Leicester into this. Two very different clubs and two very different circumstances.

Re: Klopp sack watch - Liverpool Edition
so if klopp had them 3 players Liverpool would challenge for the title. If Liverpool had them 3 players we still be where we are now. We have one win since December 30. In a lge where Leicester are top and vardy is top scorer. That's shameful tbh.Peccadillo wrote:Huth, Kante, Okazaki?

Was going to come and coment on this. How on earth do you start with Henderson and Milner on the wings? Doesn't liverpool have anything better than this? Just play Llalana and Firmino there?

We had Ibe on the bench the whole game who is our best winger and one of our rare players who can beat a man 1-on-1. Or indeed put Firmino out wide and play Benteke up top. We've been easy to defend against all season long, but even more so when we play that midfield. Opposition defenders don't have to worry at all about getting beat 1-on-1. It was especially painful to watch Henderson out wide, because he's always looking for a pass first. He was playing like a playmaker two meters from the sideline.

Ibe right. Off course, play Ibe and Lallana on the wings, with Firmino up top. Or even play Origi (is he injured too?), and 3 attacking mids of Lallana, Firmino and Ibe. Some creativity ffs.
Far from impressed from Klopp until now. I agree with the general consensus that he needs to be given one full season, but I also agree with Unique that a good coach should make a team improve and get more from the players, and we haven't seen that.

Re: Klopp sack watch - Liverpool Edition
Origi's been injured, yeah. And Coutinho, too, I'm all but certain that when Coutinho comes back - soon now - it will be a midfielder that will make way for him and not one of the two forwards who have been playing in our recent games. So, Coutinho coming back should bring upon a positive change in the XI anyway.

Re: Klopp sack watch - Liverpool Edition
I read today that klopp wanted to give vardy a clap for his goal. Don't worry about vardy a goal worry about the shit goal keeping that gifted him the goal. And instead of clapping Leicester strikers maybe you can sort out a striker for Liverpool. Sort it out jurgan
