Perfect in a sense that he had a similar project in Dortmund and achieved lots of success with little spendings.
I personally can't think of a better manager who could replace him at this moment.
It's a complex thing from top to bottom... managing a football team. Looking at Pool's squad and taking into account the mentality of the team, I don't think they can aspire to a higher position than 5 or 6 right now. Maybe the problem is that they're also lacking an X factor they once had in Suarez.
Hell, just look at Arsenal & what their fans must think. They clearly have the better team and still suck as much.

Again you look at Liverpool's squad and see it is a limitation on Klopp's success when its actually a consequence of his actions. He has had plenty of time to fix that defense and he chose to keep it shit.
Whatever he did at Dortmund is in the past and won't do Liverpool any good.
What he is doing at Liverpool is not particularly good, that's all that matter to Liverpool.

That's not entirely true. He wanted the club to bring the likes of Van Dijk, Koulibaly or Sessegnon (which I think would be great additions to the squad) in order to strenghten the defensive line. None of these wishes were granted... His fault? No. It's not his fault that the sporting board of the club failed to attract these players.

Re: Klopp sack watch - Liverpool Edition
the reason that Liverpool defend like a pub team is 100% down to klopp. In 4 transfer windows he has not signed a good defender and the defenders at the club have not improved one single bit in the 2 years he has been coaching them.Myesyats wrote:rincon wrote:Again you look at Liverpool's squad and see it is a limitation on Klopp's success when its actually a consequence of his actions.

This happens at every *bleep* club mate. Please stop using this narrative when it comes to arguing for any manager, not just Klopp.

Re: Klopp sack watch - Liverpool Edition
Well, alright, I definitely do not know more than Liverpool fans themselves. However I still don't think the blame should be thrown entirely on him.
Putting that aside, who do you think is a better option than Klopp at the moment? Take a note it's got to be a feasible target, obviously.

Do you honestly think he's a feasible target? He seems comfortable at Atletico and I can see him taking over the national team next.
I personally can't see him moving to England to coach Liverpool.

at Liverpool he would make more money. He would have more money to spend. He would be at a world famous club. He would be in the best lge in the world. And the only clubs in the world that are bigger or richer than Liverpool either don’t want him or don’t need him. So if the Liverpool owners got serious about getting him I think a deal could be done tbh.Myesyats wrote:Do you honestly think he's a feasible target? yeah because klopp is the only manager Liverpool can get. Other clubs can fire shit managers and try to better them selfs but Liverpool shouldent do that. Watch 2 bob clubs like Chelsea and city get top managers but a world famous club like Liverpool should be looking to get fat Sam as the next manager. Liverpool's last 5 managers:
Klopp
Rodgers
Dalglish
Hodgson
Benitez
Are you implying that Liverpool couldn't have done better with every appointment since Benitez?
Now you're talking about Simeone, who is at a "world famous" club, is in a top league, is with a top squad, is earning top dollar.
Its not impossible but you're talking about the most idealistic Liverpool scenario imaginable. If Simeone does leave Atletico, which he probably will at some point, there will be many top clubs after him
But all you did is list superlatives of a prem face

Re: Klopp sack watch - Liverpool Edition
so how did a small club like Chelsea manage to get mourinho when he left Porto. How did and mid table club with no history manage to get a manager like pep.Luca wrote:Unique wrote:yeah because klopp is the only manager Liverpool can get. Re: Klopp sack watch - Liverpool Edition
As opposed to Chelsea and City, Liverpool don't have sugar daddy owners.
They have moneyball owners.
That's also why a manager like Ancelotti would be so bad for Liverpool, and why he wouldn't come in the first place, much like Pep or Mourinho.
And it's arguable how well Simeone would do with this Liverpool team. Arguably not better than Klopp.
Or are you planning to also install a DoF and get the repective guy from Atletico?
Because Simeone isn't doing the transfers either.
No doubt it's baffling Klopp hasn't managed to get at least SOME improvement in individual defensive talent. But it's not like Liverpool are doing bad, on the whole.

Re: Klopp sack watch - Liverpool Edition
we are out of the lge cup. We were never in the title race. We are making hard work of a really really poor champions league group and have as much chance of winning the FA cup as stoke.Hapless_Hans wrote:As opposed to Chelsea and City, Liverpool don't have sugar daddy owners.

Hans, STFU. He sucks. Admit it.
Did well with the best squad Dortmund ever had (Hummels, pre-injury prime Gündogan, Kagawa, pre-fatness prime Götze, Lewandowski). Since then it's only gone downhill for him.

Re: Klopp sack watch - Liverpool Edition
So what. A minor blip.
All he needs is a few better defenders, a few better midfielders, and his Liverpool will be great.
Last summer he added 0 defenders and 0 midfielders so it might take ∞ years.
Either that or he could come to Bayern in summer and rule the world with our team
