City are an embarrassment to the PL in the CL. A billion petrol dollar bus parked at the Allianz tonight.
Roma and Bayern will make it through to the next round.

Since City got into the UCL, they have been constantly thrown in the some really, really tough groups lol. I don't think any other big club has been thrown in the gutter year after year (Dortmund maybe?)

Re: Champions League 2014/15 | Group E
City's problem is Yaya Toure, the guy is such a liability when defending. Need to get rid of him when you play big teams. Bayern looked more vulnerable than last season but that's because they play more open now, can still see them switch to possession when they play a good counter attacking team
I have to say though Boateng was absolutely amazing, he mopped up after Alaba and Bernat time after time there was noway for City to penetrate him. Great game from happless' favourite player Goetze and Lewa were really poor especially Lewa who should have had at least two goals in the first half if it wasn't for his constant miscued shots that hit the side nets instead of in goal. Also Alonso ffs

Roma-City for 2nd place ... the whole pressure will be on City, Roma is rated as the 3rd of this group, noone would make problems to Roma if they don't get in
Contrarily it would be really incredible if a club as Manchester City will not pass the group stage for the 3rd time in last 4 years ... and after they 've changed also manager for this, accused to be a problem in Europe ( and anyway, yes, Mancini is this . Good in leagues, but bad in Europe...)

I agree i'm done with Yaya constant joging around and not marking anyone. Need Fernando back ASAP. And play with them two and Silva as the CAM with Dzeko, Kun, and Navas.
Would like to get an actual left Winger with pace. We have no options of the bench that can change the game when we play with 2 strikers. Relaying on Kolarov as an attacking threat of the bench is unacceptable for a team looking to make a run in the CL. With the squad restriction hope we can solve it in the summer by getting Reus.

Re: Champions League 2014/15 | Group E
everybody is holding tight on to the rope that their rspective sides will snatch Reus up in the near future and will thereby address their issues.
Real to replace ronaldo perhaps or may be even simply for the sake of it (a.k.a as Flo's new toy)
Bayern well to further make the league one sided.
we United so as to shift permanently to a 4-3-3
Pool to god knows why (as they already have good wingers if i am not wrong)
City, Arsenal and every other friggin club.
that deception when Reus sign a new contract and Kloppo troll everyone come next January.

I watched the whole match. All they did was defend in numbers for the majority of the match. You would expect a team like theirs would be be more ambitious, especially considering this was the first match of the group stages.
Bayern are quality and at their ground are difficult to play against, but that doesn't excuse a team of City's caliber playing like scared kittens. I bet they were all gutted to concede in the last minutes. That's what happens when you play for a draw.

Re: Champions League 2014/15 | Group E
Having seen City approach that game so timidly, I sure hope Roma don't do the same thing. Garcia does tend to get skittish when facing big sides away like Bayern. He completely changed our setup for our first game against Juve last season and they smashed us utterly. We looked completely unrecognizable and that was down to needless changing of our system. If nerves get to Rudi again ahead of our away matches with City and/or Bayern, the same could very well happen.
Conversely, if we keep the system that has won us so many games and the players for it in place, we'll have our say against City and Bayern on their own patches.

Re: Champions League 2014/15 | Group E
Cole to get the nod at LB due to his Prem experience alone. His start to the season has been lukewarm at best though. I see Maicon, Manolas and Yanga-Mbiwa joining him in defense.
DDR is elligible to play, but may miss out due to his calf injury. Keita's our form midfielder so I think we'll be fine there. Nainggolan and Pjanic pick themselves basically.
Iturbe being declared fit to play is a good attacking boost though. I think he starts from the bench with Totti, Gervinho, and Destro starting.
Only question mark is De Sanctis, who did pick up a knock in the Verona game. There's been little to no news about it so I assume that means he's ok hopefully.
What's its looking like for City?
Only thing I know is Nasri's out for a month.

Re: Champions League 2014/15 | Group E
Probable lineup
Hart
Zabaleta
Kompany
Mangala
Kolarov
Milner
Yaya
Fernandinho
Silva
Dzeko
Aguero
442 probably. I hope he plays Milner as a LCM Midfield of Yaya, Fern, and with Silva behind the strike. Finally got Jovetic back so we will probably see him sub'd in for Kun when he gets tired.

Pep decided that all those formations are far too hard too memorize, and is now opting for 1-2-3-4

I won't encourage this attitude of yours by answering, but as a general hint I can tell you that only wednesday games are shown in ZDF.
