Group of death again and pretty much the same exact group from last year except with Roma instead of Viktoria Plzeň. Still Manchester City group to lose since Pep is in Decline.
Hoping for Mangala to make his debut before the Chelsea game. Also Pelle serving his suspension for question the Nordic ref's incompetence. So Cousillas will replace him.

If it had been Man U it might have been more interesting than ManCity for the third time within 4 or so years XDBénin wrote:I'm fed up with Bayern - Man U but shoul be good.

Re: Champions League 2014/15 | Group E
We have CSKA at home tomorrow. On paper, a perfect fixture for Roma to make an impression. In reality, they could cause a multitude of problems for our untested defense. Despite that, I expect a win as we have the better midfield and attack.
My commentary on the group echoes that of our president - "If we fear the big boys, then we have no business in this competition." That said, Roma should respect each of these sides, but fear none of them. I think a player like Nainggolan, who basically is a force of nature, embodies this as I don't think he's going to fear any of the opposing midfielders he'll be facing. That type of fearlessness is needed throughout this side if we're to get anything out of this.

Full pre match press conference, with Lahm, Boateng, Pep
even in a game completely unrelated, and with Utd not even being in the CL, the British reporters ask two questions about Manchester United obsessed...

Re: Champions League 2014/15 | Group E
This would be the match of the first round if it hadn't been played so many times in recent years already. Can't really excited about it now, but apparently Robben and Ribery are out, so a good chance for Man City to get a win.

Re: Champions League 2014/15 | Group E
Bayern Line up: Neuer - Alonso, Benatia, Lewandowski, Rafinha, Boateng, Bernat, Götze, Lahm (C), Müller, Alaba (Not the actual formation )
City Lineup: Hart, Sagna, Kompany (c), Dimichelis, Clichy, Fernandinho, Yaya, Navas, Silva, Nasri, Dzeko
Silva in the hold and Sagna for the suspended Zabaleta
Navas starting since Sagna is weak offensively and bring that width, Thank you Pelle

Re: Champions League 2014/15 | Group E
This would probably work better:
----------- Lewandowski --------
Alaba------- Götze -------- Müller
------- Lahm --------- Alonso -----
Bernat - Boateng - Benatia - Rafinha
--------------- Neuer ---------------
