Please stop overhyping the kid.
? Being outmuscled in the air by a stronger Hummels makes him worse than 'I never perform in CL Kompany' ?

Re: Champions League 2014/15 | Group E
Time to find out what Roma are really made of now. A very real reality that we could be the only Serie A side not to progress into the next stage in both Euro comps, the first time asking.
Much has been made of Aguero, Toure and Kompany being out of this game ( think Kompany might just pass fit, for the record), but I'm not taking the absence of City's big players for granted at all tbh. Still a side that can and will cause plenty of problems, given Roma's inconsistency at the back. We are not the same side that drew them at the Etihad, in that regard.
Despite his erratic form, DDR is very likely to start, but my concern is CB and who starts out wide. I would prefer we have Astori-Manolas at CB and Gervinho, Totti, Ljajic up top. This does cause a bit of a headache for Rudi as Florenzi is available again with Maicon back at RB. The midfield appears to be Nainggolan, DDR, and Pjanic. I personally would prefer Keita over DDR myself. We'll likely see Holebas at LB unless Rudi takes Cole out of the doghouse, which is unlikely.
My projected Roma line up : De Sanctis; Maicon, Astori, Manolas, Holebas; Pjanic, De Rossi, Nainggolan; Gervinho, Totti, Ljajic.

Re: Champions League 2014/15 | Group E
I would really like to see Cole start at LB today, He was immense in the 1st leg and I just think that holebas is too attack minded for a game of this stature. Its undeniable that City have quality across the board I just think that w/o Aguero City would not even be in the conversation for 2nd place. City's attack is too reliable on Aguero's output (something that us Romanistas know all too well) but I wouldn't be the least surprised if City snatched this game from under us as they have proven there resiliency in the EPL by securing two titles in the final weeks of the season.

Re: Champions League 2014/15 | Group E
Roma vs City is easily one of the biggest CL match in recent history. So looking forward to it.
Should be an open game. Without Aguero, City will lack the game winner but if others step up then it could get interesting. For Roma, it's about playing their football and take their chances. City aren't a defensive juggernaut. Roma should be able to create and get in behind.

hope Roma will give these lot a thrashing and dent their confidence which is lately growing. Make them realize theirs is a one man team.

A good 0 - 0 at half-time, this. Both teams looking like they could score almost any time.

I wouldn't call it unlucky. This game could've gone either way, but in the end City had a bit more quality. Nasri's goal was great and Hart and the City defense had a very good game.

I said unlucky because after the goal from City Roma hit the post ( ?) and the defenders 4-5 times... Roma deserved to go trough but when you see that City was without a lot of first team players... I dunno but it didn't end up as the game I thought it will be

Probably the best match played by Samir Nasri in his career. Impressive.
He was the City leader without Toure,Aguero etc

Nasri has been great ever since Pelle took over. I've always said his greatest achievement there is turning Nasri back into his Arsenal self. Very underrated.

He would be underrated if he was rated at the level he is now while being consistent but the fact is he hardly shows up.
It's funny you bring up Arsenal too as he had the same issues there, his only relevant time at Arsenal came in his last 6 months he was average otherwise.

True but to go from always disappointing to sometimes playing great is a big improvement imo. This is the Nasri City thought they were buying.

Re: Champions League 2014/15 | Group E
It is true that City have got more out of him than Arsenal did, I still feel he's far too inconsistent though. At his best City are great to watch, with him and Silva floating around Aguero.
Sadly it doesn't happen often enough.

ya Nasri's final half season at Arsenal was really the only time we saw him at his best at Arsenal.
Wanted United to sign him that summer I remember.

chill son the facepalm is more of my disappointment in Roma than mocking, if I wanted to mock you I'd put a laughing gif or emo to express my feelings better, and calling me a fool, you do have some personal issues don't you.....

this is just so bad, and kind of without respect, first City wished save trip to Roma and its fans back to Italy, than Roma twitted that... and ofc they got their answer.
