Was Doumbia match fit or not?
If yes, then I wanna know why Slutsky didn't line him up from the beginning.

Is that a facepalm because you are angry at Perez, or you don't agree? I am angry at Perez. So angry that I wont even watch Madrid this year (not just because of Alonso).
I am angry at Perez. I mean, I love the old man, but selling the backbone of the team was pure stupid.

Roma (1) have the same number of English players in their starting XI as Manchester City (1).

Big european night and they can't even fill the stadium. No atmosphere at all.

Roma have looked very good this year. City could easily not make it out of their group after the loss to Bayern.

If Roma win tonight, City won't qualify and it will be between us and Roma for the group win.
That's why I need City to NOT LOSE lol. I want to keep Roma at some distance.

Totti
What no one will mention is who gave Totti 10 yards of space?
Kompany, he won't get any criticism though.

Re: Champions League 2014/15 | Group E
Of course not.
Kompany is the best CB in the Prem, hence the best in the world.
Always cleaning up after Demichelis, who is slow and an accident waiting to happen.
Even if Demichelis cleans up after Kompany, it's the other way around.
Body language of a leader, too.

Overrated team that keeps getting exposed in Europe.
Roma on the other hand have a great team. Very impressed with them today. Pjanic is top class.

Re: Champions League 2014/15 | Group E
That's 2 points dropped for me. Too many chances missed, though I loved the spirit we showed to fight back after the Aguero penalty. That type of grinta characterizes this Roma side under Rudi. Previous sides would've just crumbled and let City take control.
Totti's goal, like the man himself, is ageless. He doesn't have too many years left, whether he wants to admit that or not. I'm already preparing for "that" day. As does happen when Roma play well, the midfield are the fulcrum and we simply never let City get near us until late. What Pjanic did today is pretty much par for the course over the last year. He's been exceptional.
One player who got overlooked today on the Roman side is Lukasz Skorupski, who had his CL debut in goal in place of Morgan De Sanctis. The young Pole looked a safe pair of hands and not fazed. He's proving a worthy backup for MDS.
As for City? The talent is there clearly. They had the better legs over the 90 minutes. Despite not taking the litany of chances we had, we used the ball better than them overall though they probably could've gotten a go ahead goal near the end. They're in poor European form and if they take on CSKA in that type of form, they'll find it harder than they think to get that 6 points that is expected from that tie.

I will say a strong opinion but I rate Francesco Totti as the best Italian player of the last 30 years. Yes, more than Baggio for me .

A lot of pressure on City to win their next game now, against CSKA in Moscow. A pity it's played in an empty stadium.

The most surprising thing about Roma for me is the fact that they have a solid replacement for pretty much every player bar Pjanic and maybe Totti. De Rossi, Strootman, Iturbe, Castan and De Sanctis were all either injured or unfit yet it was barely noticeable yesterday.
Whoever is in charge of transfers at Roma did an outstanding job in the summer.

It's not only that, they have a great young talent for every position.
Pjanic and Strootman leave? That's all right we'll replace them with Ucan and Paredes.

Reminds me a lot of Big Boss in many ways.
- Spoiler:
Shows how calculating and biding your time for transfers is so much better than the knee-jerk methods used today.
