Seems logical. People are upset with and want to sack our manager, who will most likely finish top 5 in the PL, still in all cups (Europa instead of CL though) and is coming off a 2nd place finish. They'd be happy with Klopp (bottom of the Bundesliga with the second best team in the league) or Rafa (mid table with a team that should be top 3 in a very weak Seria A) doe.

Eh...I doubt that happens any time soon. We've seen it since the Rafa days that our ownership of late (before FSG even) seems to really like putting restrictions on our transfer capabilities.

I think those spoilsports called 'economics' are putting restrictions on your transfer capabilities as well.

Economics like spending close to 250m over the last three years but putting a wage restriction on anyone we bring in (or anyone already here)? I wonder how those numbers work out.

I wouldn't be surprised about this , I think Sneidjer is going to leave Galatasaray in January . He wants to go away not just for results but also because Galatasaray is not paying salaries

It would be a great move for Soton

The Soton Magic is WC form before fading into mediocrity two months later. But right now, two months of Wesley possibly being WC 2010 form would be a massive boost for them to help maybe have a chance to finish top four. Would also impact the locker room having a legend presence like him come in mid season and change the way they play

I very much doubt Southampton would want to so drastically alter their wage bill in order to take on an injury prone player in a position they have reasonably well covered. I don't contest that they could do with an experienced player with a history of winning important titles however they can better invest their wages elsewhere.

I'm a soton fan, and I think Tadic isn't wow. He has been so so so poor recently. Been to the City and UTD matches... Didn't impress at all...

Sneijder is good but injuryt prone sadly. I would be happy if they get diego ribas.
