Bastards took away his routine big game goal. Awful decision.

Re: Torres Appreciation Thread
WTF Torres got an appreciation thread? This is golden. I'm almost tempted to use an emoticon. But won't.

"Grass is always greener" seems to apply particularly to Liverpool fans in recent seasons.VivaStPauli wrote:El Cujo wrote:I would still take him back today.

Re: Torres Appreciation Thread
@ Viva: He joined us for a paycheck...
@ RedO: To be fair, we're heading into APRIL with our top goalscorer so far on 10 goals. (34 year old Steven Gerrard, too. Who's been riddled with injuries since Dec.) But yeah, I agree. Although it was a good day. Good to see the healthy again relationship of Torres and Anfield. (The picture of he, Suarez, Gerrard, Alonso etc killed me.)

Just seems to me that strikers aren't exactly the problem where Liverpool need investment the most. And if they were... Well, you know. Probably not that one.

He's crap these days, get those nostalgia goggles off lol.
I wouldn't even want him and our best striker has no knees.

Most players are money driven now, no? He was one of the reasons I became a Liverpool fan, and if he wanted to play for us again I'd welcome him back. That's all. I don't think he'd come in and be our savior or anything like that. He can still play a role though and is certainly better than anything Newcastle has.

Grass is always greener because I would still take Torres on the team because I love him as a player? He would be nothing more than a substitute, or maybe get cup games. I mean he gets time for Atletico but clearly he's not good enough for Liverpool.
Love the self-righteous attitude from the guy that doesn't even mingle with his 'fellow' Liverpool fans though.

Re: Torres Appreciation Thread
Ah yes, how silly of me to forget that proper fandom is defined by continually engaging in petty and circular arguments with fellow supporters despite said arguments actively undermining enjoyment of the sport as a whole. I bow to your greater support of LFC through your continued spats with RA over whether Rodgers deserves a Nobel Prize or a day in the stocks for the season so far. Obviously I failed the litmus test of continuing to put up with being accused of being a pessimistic club-hater by those who expect us to win the title every August and an optimistic, kool-aid drinking party-liner by those who expect us to get relegated concurrently.
My humblest and deepest apologies to you, oh great paragon of TLWTM. May I always walk alone for my incompetence and ineptitude.

Re: Torres Appreciation Thread
If only all of us Liverpool fans could be as self-righteous and turn our noses up to the opinions, beliefs and support of other fans of the same team. After all, then we wouldn't have to talk to eachother at all. Actually if all fans were more like you in general we could just close a site like this down and not have to suffer through it!
Please, it is I that should be apologizing to you. After all, we've had to expose your eyes to senseless drivel, opinions and emotions that have no place in the world of football (or the internet).
