No doubt it will live up to it. But if it fails for any reason, then sony are done.

Re: Bloodborne
Makers of Demon/Dark Souls are no scrub. Unlike Order I am really not seeing any reason for this to fail. Only way it can is if it's release is as buggy as AC Unity was but that is extremely unlikely.

Dark Souls was like 300 hours of gameplay according to my mate lol. This should be at least 100 hours.

Re: Bloodborne
Dark Souls was a scrub game tbh, very boring and combat is Skyrim level of fail.
Also the world was meh, I prefer the much more fluid style of Batman and so on. Playing a game with a very static and unresponsive combat isn't fun.
Inb4 it's too hard.

Re: Bloodborne
I have played more horror themed games lol, I just don't like the gameplay lol. I need combat to be fluid and not like you are stuck in mud for it to be enjoyable.
Skyrim best RPG of generation
Every Mass Effect was better. This coming from the guy who says "story matters to me above all else ".

Re: Bloodborne
And Skyrim's lore and sidequests were amazing. Even an effin book in a bandit cave led to a story of a legendary amulet that you track down to a group of necromancers. Not to mention Dawnguard, most of the Daedric quests, and Thieves Guild had good stories. And Dark Brotherhood storyline was too GOAT. The main story was generic save the world but had an amazing final arc.
Melee combat was lacking but it becomes much more fluid the more you upgrade. Still, I preferred playing with magic powers because of that.
And the fact you found the combat of Dark Souls too slow means that it was too hard for you

Best of generation when it's story was crap compared to Mass Effect, Witcher, Fallout and Dragon Age lol. I'd accept your opinion if you hadn't already stated that story matters to you most and Skyrim was one of the worst storywise of the top RPGs.
Also I never I said I struggled with the slow gameplay, I said I find it boring. I died more on Donkey Kong Country ffs

Seriously you sound like Battlefield players who hate on COD players who don't like Battlefield. Because you don't like a game don't mean it's too difficult, it is possible to just dislike something

Re: Bloodborne
Story does matter to me a lot and Skyrim had multiple story arcs, maximum of which were really good. I don't see what is so ludicrous on that statement.
I'm not mad you dislike the game, but your reason you give for why the game is bad is... I don't know how to put it. Combat of Dark Souls is not "static and unresponsive", that statement is just wrong and reeks of someone hating on it just because it was too difficult or they could not figure it out.

Re: Bloodborne
Skyrim on PC is on a whole different level... there are more mods that you could possibly imagine. In fact, my skyrim mods are 3x the size of vanilla skyrim in size after i optimized them and there are 2x more quests on the mods than on the vanilla version.
You can even make Skyrim pornographic if you want to ffs.
Really unbelievable. Go on the Nexus site for Skyrim to get an idea of the modding available and still going strong. I allocated 60gb on a SSD just to handle Skyrim and i'm out of space (i only have 7 saved games).
I have over 400 mods that have 255 esp files (max allowed)... took me literally 2 months to get it very stable (meaning at least 2 hours of play before a crash happens). But now that it is, it's out of this world.

Re: Bloodborne
It's ludicrous because it pales in comparison to the other RPGs are mentioned story wise.
Anyway I find it static and unresponsive yes, but that didn't stop from going through the game until I just got bored of it. I just don't like that type of combat from an enjoyment standpoint.
Witcher 2 is about as far as I'd go from a melee combat standard, not because it's difficult but because I like faster combat. I don't really have a problem with difficult games tbh, I have played many it's just about being persistent and figuring out how to approach it.
Difficulty alone would never make me stop playing a game.

Well that maybe, but I don't have a PC so I'm comparing the console versions of these games. Also unless these mods can improve the story and combat it probably wouldn't interest me anyway.

Been watching some gameplay of this and I'm definitely getting it, gameplay looks a lot more how I like to play action games and setting seems more interesting.

No way does it pale in comparison. I have not seen any other RPG which has anything like the A Night To Remember quest. How the developers made The Hangover on a fantasy world with giants, mammoths and dark princes instead of tigers and strippers will always baffle and impress me. And that's just one of the quests. Hell you can make a movie out of the Forsworn Conspiracy/Cidhna Mine story alone.
Anyway back on topic, Bloodborne looks like a mashup of Devil May Cry and Dark Souls. And that only sounds and looks like a good thing. I am 99.99% sure this won't flop.
