I only caught part of the 2nd half, and it was a blowout but Dre went off in the 2nd. He had a few blocks, a few goaltends but the D.R. was literally throwing up floater after floater just to avoid him.

A lot on twitter think he earned a spot tonight, but I'm still wary of Krapyzewski.


Also Derrick Rose has been having knee pain and there's a chance he drops out. Idk if he played in this game, didn't see him in the second half.

I went to the USA vs DR game. Was a pretty fun game to watch since it was so one sided. Just wished that I got to see D-Rose play

Looks good but I would've taken Lillard instead of Bumlee, what happens if Rose can't play

1 too many bigs IMO. Faried earned his place from what I saw, some great energy on both ends of the floor.

But dont see the point of Plumlee when you got Cousins, AD1 and AD2.

Agreed with Dmize, definitely taking Lillard over Plumlee.

Maybe Drummond to come in if the Spain matchup eventually happens.

But Plumlee is completely unnecessary.

I think they would be better with Gay as a stretch 4. Faried has done his thing but I think he would be better as a change of pace kind of player who the opponants dont expect.

Put him with the starting unit and its a little easier to get to grips with his energy level.

Plus Gay obviously can create his own shot and give the team more spacing.

Yeah Faried was great in the exhibitions, def deserved to make it.

Odd that they only took 1 true SF, but Harden, DeRozan and Thompson can all play there as well.

I think they do plan to play Gay at the 4, but probably off the bench. I think Moles lineup is what they will start off with.

I didn't realize they play 6 games in 7 days or something. So the lineups may vary a bit against certain teams and everyone should get PT.

All and all it was smart to go big after Durant withdrew.


I think Davis will be our best player and if USA wins, tournament MVP.

I'd probably do what you said tbh, but in all these warm up games the only thing that has changed is Irving or Rose.

The rest has been as I wrote so I expect that to be what they go with, at least early on anyway.

Julius Randle said he'd rather guard LeBron than play with him, so he's one of them. One of the many reasons I like this guy. If his play can get close to the level of his attitude, we'll have a star.

It's a new age, no longer do players want to spend large parts of their careers surrounded by scrubs. They want to play with players that are up to par.

I can see why people were irked when Bron and Wade joined forces, they were both top 5 players in the league at similar positions. But Love, or even Bledsoe joining him shouldn't be a big deal. As long as Bron and KD don't join forces its all good, the two best players in the league should never join forces lol.

Also there have been super teams in every single decade tbh, its nothing new. I think the league is more exciting with a hand full of stacked teams honestly.

The super teams were those Celtics and Lakers teams from the past.. Some of them were drafted, some were made by trades but it's all the same shit.. Bird, Magic, Kareem etc. were fortunate to never have to make the decision about teaming up with other greats because they already had greats around them early on in their careers

Magic was drafted, Cooper was drafted, Worthy was drafted and Kareem came before any of those arrived. There was no creation of a super team. They didnt leave places to go play with the best players in the world.

Bird was drafted, Mchale was drafted. Parish was the only one traded for.

Whats the point of Love playing in the playoffs and having no chance of winning? There is none. There is no shame in him leaving as I already said. Just as there was nothing wrong with Bosh leaving, or Lebron leaving the first time. Everyone should be allowed to go play wherever they like.

But when your at least a top 3 player in the game (as Lebron was) and then you go join another top 3 (at worst top 5) in Wade and then bring along one of the top 5 (at worst 5-10) big men in the game. What is the point of even winning? Who exactly are you winning against?

It turned out, team ball (Dallas, Spurs) usually beats superior talent and I am a believer in that. But we all saw what happened when someone tried to "out-talent" that Miami team (OKC).

Im just saying, theres a big difference now compared to before. Barkely (top 3 player) didnt want to join Jordan (top 1 player), he wanted to whoop his ass. Same for Malone and Stockon, same for Ewing, same for Robinson, same for Kemp and Payton, same for Miller and so on down the line. The stars of the game were more spread out, because they wanted to beat the best, not join them.
