What can you do, that's Spain and RFEF for you. Nothing we can do put call that BS out.BarrileteCosmico wrote:Kinda crazy Suarez is getting blamed for this when in the game he was the one holding Messi back after Pau's disgraceful stomp. According to Sport Masche was the main guy involved on the Barca side after the match, not Suarez.Harmonica wrote:There's been a bust up in tunnel after game, and Suarez involved. Spanish press is predicting 1-2 games ban in Cup.
Rest would actually do good for him, he's missed empty net now 3 games in a row.

Re: Luis Suárez : el Vampiro
I agree. He can do with a 2 game rest to cool down.Harmonica wrote:I think he ran too much, he doesn't really have a second gear, only first gear and runs every game to the end. In the long run I don't think that's a good practice. Sometimes he reminds me like a mad dog how he runs, like his body couldn't do it but his mind says yes. And it also takes freshness and concentration out of finishing.
Vidal on the right wing and Messi in the centre then though?

Why is it ridiculous. Were you there? Do you know what happened?
Apparently he stood in the tunnel on the stairs, threatening and insulting all of Espanyol's team, Tony Montana style.
The one Espanyol player got red carde for insulting Suarez. Why is it ridiculous the other way round.
You guys need to own up.
OWN UP.

Hans STFU.
Asspanyol players themselves admitted it wasn't Suarez but Mascherano. Random Barca player gets punished without clear evidence.
The ridiculous thing is Pau Lopez got not even a yellow card for targeting Messi's leg and stepping on it with complete awareness. And it's on the cameras = no punishment.

He is a different style of player for us. We have Andres Iniesta and Xavi and they are sweet players and you can enjoy watching them on the ball, it's easy on the eye. Not with Suarez. He fights and scraps for the ball and finally gets the goal. - Gerard Piqué

it is nice to see someone fight for the ball, but not just him the purchases of rakitic and turan, they a;; fight and get dirty which is a nice change from the xavi / iniesta type of players who use brains more than physicality

Re: Luis Suárez : el Vampiro
He is a competitor, as great as any in the game. Every great team needs great competitors. With Xavi gone, we desperately needed one.
Now we have two in Alves and Suarez.
Suarez is just a complete and unplayable number 9. If I am building an time 11, Suarez is my number 9 without a shadow of a doubt. The only thing he lacks is genuine pace and acceleration, which all the other GOAT contenders had.
If he had genuine pace and acceleration, he would be a GOAT contender too.

Re: Luis Suárez : el Vampiro
tbh if i was supported by unselfish GOAT creators likes of messi iniesta neymar i would score too Munir almost had hat-trick few days ago. But no munir would end up like Villa and Sanchez who lacked self confidence and messi kicked them out. Suarez is warrior for me this is his best attribute

Where's the replacement? Messi can't keep carrying him another season.

Re: Luis Suárez : el Vampiro
I hope we can still get a replacement for him, Bartomeu hasnt closed doors for new signings this summer judging by his comments last night. Luisito is clearly on decline and his only replacements are Alcacer and Munir
Griezmann would be perfect for this team, it's a shame we missed out on that one.

Re: Luis Suárez : el Vampiro
Griezmann would get bullied by Ramos. Actually i think Suarez is perfect fit. A bad boy who can play barca way and he is proven in this team. Buying a new player is very risky because 90% of them doesnt make it. He is the only striker lasted 5 seasons in barca since eto. Finding a new fit will take 3-4 years after many failed transfers
Its a preseason he will get better

Re: Luis Suárez : el Vampiro
Griezmann is not a risky signing. He comes in and makes an instant impact.
It'd be one of the few signings that actually isn't a gamble lol.

Re: Luis Suárez : el Vampiro
Suarez can still turn it on, like during the WC he was good... but he cant seem to keep this form too consistently these days, understandable, just like Messi and hes older. So sooner we would have to find a replacement... being Barca no.9 though is clearly a huge requirement so it will have to be one of the best. Considering his friendship and partnership with Messi too, dont think he will be out unless he really dips a lot though.

Re: Luis Suárez : el Vampiro
Thats true, Suarez tends to come into the season in bad shape but is able to turn it on as the season progresses. We do, however, still need a proper replacement, next summer at the latest. Preferably already in winter. Alcacer and Munir aren't good enough to step in when Suarez gets injured etc. Maybe for the easier fixtures in La Liga, but in the CL you do need a proper target man.

Suarez never turned on last season, nor is he going to turn this season either it seems. Supercopa was again Top 10 worst performance's in football, ever.
Three weeks to trade him...

Re: Luis Suárez : el Vampiro
Suarez lost that burst he used to have off his first touch. Age, miles on his legs and all that are showing on him big time. Pretty sure the club planned to get Griezeman to weed out Suarez the following summer but that obviously didn't pan out. Either way, I would be shocked if Suarez doesn't leave in the summer next year (he will be 32 by then and at this stage isn't going to randomly improve).

Re: Luis Suárez : el Vampiro
Meh, he’s just a diesel that takes more time to get going. He’ll be fine as soon as he scores the first goal. But next summer we 100% need a new target man. I’m not sure who could that be, though.

Re: Luis Suárez : el Vampiro
His intelligence as a striker is off the charts. He is the Xavi of strikers and was born to play Cruyffian football. The movement, one touch play, passing but especially the movement. Our football is all about creating space and he understands how to create space as well as anyone I have seen. The second Messi goal was pure genius from Suarez and he does that time and time again. I only wish he was here during the Pep era. It would have been wonderful to see Pep use Suarez.

One of Barcelona's best signings. Shame he wasn't signed straight from Ajax though.
Re: Luis Suárez : el Vampiro
I seem to remember we were linked to him during the Pep days but went for Ibrahimovic instead. Oh well ...
