CB i should say my opinions are based on pre Martino where here was a lot better on the left than right IMO.

Not that it matters anyway, as he'll be allowed to roam a lot more at Arsenal.

This is fantastic for Arsenal purely because Ozil can play in the center now. Ozil looks like a retarded version of himself on the wing lol

Not to mention he and Walcott both will look to make runs, Ozil will be like a kid in a candy store lol.

This is a damn great signing for Arsenal, better than Özil, imo. Feels terrible that he has chosen Arsenal over us even though he could've so easily been coming our way as part of the Suarez deal. We may have finished above Arsenal last season, but looks like they're still more appealing to star players.

What comes to the flank he'll be playing, I don't think that's a problem. Sanchez should rather obviously be kept as an RW, because he is more technical than Walcott, who should be able to make his defense-splitting runs just as well from the left as he's been making from the right.

Well done, Arsenal, a cracking signing, wish we had him.

the big difference between him and Arshavin is laziness,

Arshavin caused his own downfall, could have been a great player but never fullfilled his potential

mah , I would have spent that money for a CF, not for Sanchez .

Sanchez can play both winger and SS, but he gives his best when he plays centrally as SS, Udinese 2011-esque

I think that's looking too much at his Udinese role, I believe in a team that has a few great CAMs he is the best utilized on the (right) wing.

Arsenal for the second year in a row sign a elite player, elite winger, something they need to attack teams from wide positions with sheer speed and dribbling.

good job wenger.

On a club level,he hasnt really shown much to be branded as an elite quality player regardless this is still an excellent signing. He's better than any attacker they have currently bar Oezil.

he will play as winger because there is Ozil , and it' s a normal choice in this case because Ozil is a better CAM than him also for me, but anyway this is a trifling detail , basically IMHO Sanchez was not  the player that the Asenal needed, not the nth goodest to create chances than scoring, but they need of bomber who misses since Van Persie . Giroud is limited to certain levels and I think even this season ( despite good score basically) showed it and infact he is overhated by Gunners fans

More established.More proven.More talented also.Too much scrutiny on Oezil in his 1st season. This is season is where he should be properly judged imo.

But Sanchez would give them a new dimension to their attack with his dribbling and directness like you said.

No players have created more assist than Ozil in last years.
it's difficult to discuss Ozil as ability in his role
Of course he has still defects as impact in big matches ( and infact Madrid sent him away , a club who aspired to Decima couldn't accept a #10 with these "problems") , but even Sanchez was not never a big game player ,a decisive player for trophies in career so far , so I tend to prefer still the German

Sure Ozil assists a lot but that's one aspect of the game. and it's not like Sanchez doesnt put up consistently good assists every season. what he lacks in is set piece delivery, something on which ozil beefed up his numbers in madrid. still that's not a differentiating factor, because i could argue that sanchez scores a lot more.

Its amazing how Sanchez has suddenly become this renowned world beater after a good world cup showing and likewise Hazard is trash because he dint live up to expectations.
He had a very good season at Barca but lets not forget he was coming back off two mediocre seasons at the club.
If you look at both Sanchez and Oezil's careers over the years ,imo its like not even close who's had a more established career thus far.

so i asked you what does being more established means?

and last season in madrid ozil was mediocre, first one he was ok, and second one he was great. I can easily argue that Sanchez had an ok season out of those 2 years you describe as being mediocre.

And RObes, i am disappointed. you are one of those who is always eager to cover Suarez with grape vines, after he spent one year scrubkilling epl midgets, but other players cant enjoy the same compliment. And i am not even saying that Sanchez is a top 10 player.

i just asked why is Ozil better than Sanchez? i got thrown assists numbers in my face.

let's look at Cesc resume at barca, them eye popping goals and assists for a midfielder.

I don't like to use the World Cup as a gauge for a players worth. Because what, your going to ignore seasons for just 3 or 4 games worth of work?

Thing with Ozil vs Sanchez is that while Ozil has had a better career numbers wise...you can also see just by looking at them that Sanchez has been steadily improving while Ozil has been looking lazier and lazier. Alexis will be like the new Di Maria for Ozil while at Real Madrid...just by inserting Alexis's speed and work rate next to Ozil, might make Ozil look brand new again instead of having slow ass Santi next to him. I'm telling you this is a great signing for Arsenal, given he can play all forward positions; just by signining him they have addressed allot of issues up front. By end of week they should also have Debuchy and then hopefully they get Bender.

Would be a great window for club that rarely spends.

How many wingers/attacking midfielders scored 21 goals and gave 15 assists last season? That in a team he supposedly struggles in.

Is Sanchez a better player than Ozil or is he a better CAM than Ozil?
