Semi-Final: Brazil v Germany - Page 18 Empty Re: Semi-Final: Brazil v Germany

Will not write my full thoughts as I type on a phone, yet Kakà is far from a finished player as displayed by his season for Milan in which he was our best player. Injuries may have ravaged his physiology yet the return to Milan represented the mental augmentation needed to show that he was a player in crossroads of evolution as a footballer.

At times he was frustrating yet his consistent presence, creativity, completeness and big game impact warranted a call up, if not a start ahead of Oscar who has the cumulative creativity of a ceiling fan.

Too bad Kakà chose to demote his final emers by going to MLS, as he still had much to offer.

I can't believe some of the naiivety about marcelo here. I can write paragraphs about this but the tactical set up did not suit him at all
in madrid alonso and ramos/pepe cover for him and vice versa

When you let him attack he is absolutely unstoppable.
Theres a reason why teams put two men on their right side with a defensive mid tracking back at all times when they face madrid.

Every player has weaknesses and strengths, marcelos got exposed badly here

he's a Madrid player. he needs some bad games and he's shit. he wasn't even that bad ffs. of course he tried to attack(he was their best attacker) when the forwards aka Hulk, Oscar, Bernard were doing shit. A fullback has to both attack and defend, but when he attacks he needs cover. every fullback needs cover because he can't be in 2 places at one time.

Oh be quite ffs lol

There is nothing wrong with a fullback attacking, but he has to understand when, where and how. Marcelo got rocks for brains so he cant understand it.

Be quiet, has a real stinging effect in words...

Marcelo isn't a bright footballer, that is for certain but even he needs defensive cover especially when I'm sure that this is instructions from Scolari himself.

Now, because he isn't intelligent to realise that I am not getting the defensive cover I need, he makes those attacking runs without thought and thus, serious problems arise. I still rate him but any criticism he is getting is rightly deserved.
