Tony Adams: Cesc Fabregas' decision to move to Chelsea saddens me:
Tony Adams has revealed that he was left 'saddened' when he learned that ex-Arsenal star Cesc Fabregas had moved to Chelsea
http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/482258/EXCLUSIVE-Cesc-Fabregas-decision-to-move-to-Chelsea-saddens-me-Tony-Adams

"Maybe Wenger thought we didn't need that type of player. It saddened me because he was Arsenal captain and it's a shame he's not coming back."

A wee summat to cheer us up rofl

So instead of joining UTD, who have Rooney, Mata and Kagawa for 1 AM slot, he joined Chelsea, who have Oscar and, uhhh. hmm. Willian?? For 1 AM spot.

I know who I'd pick.

Jibes from Arsenal fans will not hurt me, insists Chelsea's Cesc Fabregas
Cesc Fabregas insists he is not worried about Arsenal fans’ reaction to his £27 million move to Chelsea.
http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/jibes-from-arsenal-fans-will-not-hurt-me-insists-chelseas-cesc-fabregas-9542725.html

I’m mature enough for that not to hurt. I have explained it well. I’ve always been very loyal and grateful to Arsenal.

Can't wait to see his reaction when they play at the Emirates.

Dat maturity level though.

He went to Arsenal a decade ago
"He's got the Barca DNA" is what Pique said though
So back to Barca he happily came
And started flopping in every big game

"This is too much, I am not clutch, pls Wenger bring me back"
But Wenger said: "Özil is much better than you"
So he ended up with Mouuuuu

Cesc Fàbregas is the perfect signing for us, says José Mourinho:
José Mourinho believes new signing Cesc Fàbregas's quality, competitiveness, age, and familiarity with the Premier League will make him a perfect fit at Chelsea
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2662845/Cesc-Fabregas-perfect-signing-Chelseas-title-push-says-Jose-Mourinho.html

"He is the kind of player we need."

"Not just for his qualities as a player but also his competitive personality."

"He is a player in the best years of his career – 26, 27, 28. He knows England well, he knows the Premiership well, so he will not need time to adapt."

"I think he is the kind of player who will come and train for a couple of weeks and be ready to prove himself."

Not the biggest fan of this transfer, I mean every time I've watched him I thought he was a very attacking minded CM or an AM and has been deployed as a false nine too and now Mou wants him to play in the pivot alongside Matic?

On the bright side we won't have to unlock parked buses with Luiz/Ramires/Mikel in midfield only to throw 5 strikers at the end of the game, and he will increase the goals scored from our midfield. I know that everyone is disappointed with last season strikers's output but I feel like our midfielders and attacking midfielders were lacking in that regard as well last season and Cesc will surely help, and last we will finally have someone to replace Oscar in the hole when he's injured/out of form/whatever

Given the reportedly higher wages for Cesc, I assume he will have a larger role in the team than we expected him to have initially

Couldn't care less. I'm bothered about our players only as they play for Chelsea. The less they feature for their national teams the better, as far as I'm concerned.

I saw a interesting stat on twitter. Cesc has the most through balls in the PL in the last 5 years, that is amazing he hasn't played in the PL in the last three years.

I can't wait to see Cesc in blue.

Have a bad feeling Costa's gonna underwhelm. At least initially.

Yeah tbh not a big fan of Costa signing either, dont like the fact we are paying 40m+185k weekly wages for a player with one great season. Too risky imo. Its no coincidence we have so many flop strikers, we take too much risk with these signings. But i will trust Mou judgement, especially since so much is ridding for him. It is a decisive season for Mou, he needs to get back to winning and Costa have to perform for that to happen.

btw i am completely on the R-Rod>Luis train, i hope we sign the Switzerland international.

I am not sure, Costa represents the possible fix of our biggest weakness, CF while Cesc is that world class talent that is sure to excite.

It's 32m, not a pound more. I also doubt the wages will be that high.

Arsenal's Mathieu Flamini 'disappointed' in Cesc Fabregas:
Mathieu Flamini says he's disappointed that former Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas joined Chelsea this summer
http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/arsenals-mathieu-flamini-disappointed-with-cesc-fabregas-for-joining-chelsea-9605550.html

"I had an amazing time with Cesc at Arsenal and he stayed a very close friend of mine."

"I’m a bit disappointed that he’ll be playing with Chelsea rather than us, but I respect his decision."
