He's playing because he's the best centre forward Argentina have. Every other option on their team is more of a 9.5/10 then an out and out number 9.

Anyway Argentina's front line will be legit, if Messi weren't playing for Barca they'd be my favourite NT.

Aguero rarely becomes a top scorer in any tournament. He is more like a Neymar type player

Higuain is the best bet. Messi and Aguero takes all the attention and he scores 2-3 goals every game

Higuain, Costa, Klose are my choices. If they start all games either of them will be top scorer. If not them any player from brazil argentina germany spain with tapin skills will win

I wouldn't be surprised if Robben or RVP are in the running. Two goals a piece against Spain, Chile has a suspect defence then Australia. Of course their path to the finals can be pretty tough. Most likely Croatia then Italy, Germany/Portugal/Argentina so who knows.

I'm not sold on Messi...thought he looked pretty poor against Bosnia.

Given the quite different role of wingers in the two national sides' systems, not nearly so much as it would Green.
