I am rooting for Argentina to make it into the finals. My vote didn't went for Messi (based on his poor form in Barcelona) but instead voted for Sergio Aguero. Thomas Muller is next on my list.

Aguero makes good sense to me but playing alongside Higuain, won't it be the Napoli man farthest forward most of the times?

Fred could win it. I am not going to bet against him. No matter what his weaknesses are Scolari has set everything to suit him best.

Muller is a very good option. One of the few players who could win it without being a number 9 because is sense of time and space is great. The only jinx is he won it last time. Twice in a row at world cups?

Higuain has to be a very good bet.

With Di Maria, Messi and Aguero around him i'd be surprised if he scores less than 5.

TBH if there's anyone from Argentina who's going to win the Golden Boot it would probably be Higuain. Aguero is more of a creator for Argentina, links the play up rather than actually finishing it.

He'll score a fair few goals, but I think Higuain will score more. His role in the system allows him to. Feeding off Messi, Di Maria and Aguero's missed chances. Proud

Higuain has got to be the luckiest forward in the world. Playing in front of Messi, Di Maria, and Aguero. He's got as good a shot as any to be top scorer.

Higuain did exactly that in the last WC. It just seems Aguero is not a clear consistently starter enough to make him favourites above his other teammates?

I like Dani's Fred is Fred comment Very Happy

Neymar on this form surely be Brazil's top goals scorer.

Lets not forget the all important penalty taker in the team being Neymar, Messi, Ronaldo, etc. too.

He's playing because he's the best centre forward Argentina have. Every other option on their team is more of a 9.5/10 then an out and out number 9.

Anyway Argentina's front line will be legit, if Messi weren't playing for Barca they'd be my favourite NT.
