Mauro Zarate joins West Ham after his best ever season

Already has better English than Tevez

Tbf BC he did spend 6 months on loan here before.

In any case i don't rate him that highly, mainly due to his brain.

But surely he has to be good enough for West Ham no?

Thought he was pretty "great" for Wigan (or whoever it was) his first time around. Seems like the kind who excels being the star player for a lesser team but would struggle trying to fit in with a similarly talented group of teammates.

Andy Carroll looks like Alan Shearer if compared to  Zarate and Downing...

If I was a Hammer I would be pissed off to watch Zarate with the number 10 belonged to  Di Canio.

For free he definitely a bargain

He had a good loan stint before (in the PL), didn't play all that well at the start but by the last few games he was in very good form.

The current owners of West Ham used to own Birmingham. Maybe just a player they really like.

I thought he was very good at Lazio at the beginning. I remember the Coppa Italia final between Sampdoria and Lazio. It was basically a Cassano vs Zarate show with a side of Pazzini to top it off. Fantastic final that was.

Think he'll do well in England if I'm honest. Interest to see his partnership with Carroll. Can imagine it looking like a poor mans version of Suarez-Carroll.

Despite common consensus he wasn't that good for Birmingham tbh.

Inconsistent at best, apart from that free kick that is shown over and over again he really didn't do much.

But like i said its West Ham he surely must be good enough to improve their awful attack.

for me he was inconsistent even in that 2008-2009 to Lazio, his best year in career by far and he was very overhyped after it.
All reminded his goals , some amazing, but many forgot his period of nothingness coincided in 2nd half of season ... all forgot because at the end of the year he leaded Lazio to win derby against Roma with an amazing goal or he contributed to knock out Juve in Coppa Italia semi-final with a great goal.
He's always been inconsistent even in his best year basically.
I have a  consideration very bad about him and so I think he will be the nth scrub bought by Allardyce. TBH I wouldn't take Zarate even for a relegation battle. on the other hand Lazio was going to relegate in 2010 with Carrizo as GK and Zarate as main forward . ( because in 2009 2010 Rocchi was finished and Pandev went to Inter on January . While in 2008 2009 the Lazio top scorer was Pandev, and infact for me Pandev was the Real difference maker in that Lazio, same thought of some Lazio fans known by me , while Zarate tended to be overrated  in that Lazio just for great goals ).

West Ham do need players with some dribbling skills and technique, but this is still a very hopeful buy.

Nothing. He'll score 10+. We'll just wait and marvel.

What are you talking about? With the EPL's kick and rush football there's plenty of space to be exploited.
