He is more ready for first team football than Morata is, you can read it in his body language and the way he plays. we are trying to ease up the transition to first team football for him. Sarabia takes charge when he gets on the pitch. I had hoped better than Getafe for him tho. Teams like Espnyol can muster a much better challenge for him.
those guys from dubai are doing nothing so far with getafe, they still need our youth players...smh
Dubai is pretty much broke lol. Abu Dhabi and Qatar... they have the cash as far as ME sovereigns interested in big time football.

reminds me of that fraud that took over santander....
well getafe was relatively cheap, im not sure they will invest from their own pocket

I remember there was a poll asking which club would make more of an impact this summer, Malaga or Getafe. It was fairly obvious from the start lol.

The problem Malaga is going to face is that they better succeed immediately and get revenue in. For one, financial fair play will become a problem. Second, once the investment group gets bored and the deal goes south, they will pull out in half a heartbeat.
Malaga better become a business and not a toy.

Are they owned by an investment group? They are benefiting from the attention of a Sheik i think, he seems to have a more hans on approach to things

Re: El Futuro - Alvaro Morata
As far as I know, Al-Thani is the sole owner.
I've not read about any involvement from investment groups.

Sheiks use sovereign fund mechanisms that are basically private equity/hedge fund setups. Our main investors are sovereign funds (my company) that each represent a royal family in the ME... as soon as the appeal and intangible factors (sheik's personal interest, something to show off, etc.) stop carry the weight, it better be a good business because it will be handed to the fund's staff. And these sovereign funds are run by guys like me: Wall Street bankers that only care about return on investment figures.

Re: El Futuro - Alvaro Morata
Man City is an example of a club that needs to transition from a toy to a business in the next couple of years. They've actually created a good team... but wages are too overinflated and make their players unsellable. Now that they have a decent brand out there, they don't need to overpay like this and actually get good product at market prices.
With financial fair play, they're shooting themselves in the foot.

Re: El Futuro - Alvaro Morata
Morata has just signed a new contract with club. Given he is with U19 for most of training camp, I believe he is staying at Castilla for most of year (to help them finally get to liga adelante) and he willpractice and play some games with 1st team (similar to Mejias and possibly Nacho). Also feel this means we won't add a 3rd striker leaving this open to Morata (at Castilla).

He's developing the city as well(sheikh). Malaga has an intresting history concerning muslim spain and us (the berbers) .sportsczy wrote:The problem Malaga is going to face is that they better succeed immediately and get revenue in. Re: El Futuro - Alvaro Morata
Morata is better than Adebayor lol. If we even need a third striker this season, we have one right here. Neymar, Aguero and co can go jump.

Re: El Futuro - Alvaro Morata
"Everything that has happened this year is like a dream for me. I'm very happy with my new deal. If I saw no future here, I might have decided to leave, but it's my goal to succeed at Real Madrid," Morata was quoted as saying by Marca.
"I have to keep improving with the reserves and grab my chances whenever I get playing time in the first team. I know that I still have to learn a lot, but the fact that the club offered me a new deal shows that they have faith in me."

Re: El Futuro - Alvaro Morata
Morata is an interesting striker. Its really a shame that he wont get decent chances next season. Though I do appreciate that he signed an extension with us, in truth i see him leaving before he breaks into the first team.
It certainly does not help that mourinho thinks we need another wc striker to keep morata in the bench.
