One thing I don't get is how flawlessly and unrealistically Sansa escaped?! I mean literally no one saw her leaving and no one followed her and Dontos as they got onto the boat?

Sounds like the good old "I'm not racist but....", only 1000x worse. Heh I don't blame yeh, this show normalize atrocious things every week. I don't know a lot about American tv but apparently that's HBO's style

Re: Game Of Thrones - Part 3 - *NO BOOK TALK - READ THE RULES*
Nah I can believe it tbh
Soon as it happened, everybody was looking at Joffrey in shock. And Cerci was screaming at the guards to take Tyrion into custody. So by the time they realised Sansa was gone, she was cloaked and away in a massive city. Then the row boat was hidden away as opposed to being in the port.
Believable enough for me imo, only people who wanted Sansa captured were well behind her.

Leader of the people AKA she's caring and the one people will get behind
She could be the worst leader ever but it's still true as she's helping people
That point is irrelevant too, what leader in GOT doesn't have mad protection
Stannis has a woman and her seemingly all powerful God watching over him
Joffrey made 4,0000 enemies and still survived for a while
Tywin has so much gold and reputation nobody dares touch him.
I don't consider Joffery a leader, Tywin is the leader now, Tyrion was before. Stannis had to face a bunch of idiots rivalling his claim (Robb Stark among them) and actually had to fight competent people (Tyrion). Most of all he has superior experience and calculation to almost anyone, and has a real, tangible claim.
Tommen for me, has much more potential as a leader if Kind and good hearted is what you want. Because he actually demonstrates a willingness to learn how to actually runs things. Or even Jon, he at least understands the realities of life, even though he too is slow to learn.
Dany is entitled and stubborn, which can be cool if you have a modicum of a brain, but when you're only in the position you in because a neveredning stream of support magically sways your way, it's pretty annoying.
Caring is all good. Go be mother Teresa or something

Nah i'm not saying I want a kind hearted leader. What I mean is the fact that Dany is kind-hearted makes me think she won't get the throne. In typical GOT style.
Also, Tommen with Tywin & co will be a fine leader for now. Basically he'll be manipulated in a good way by the council.

Tommen will be GOAT if Cerci can be kept away. This conversation is urging me toward spoiling, I'll think I'll stop here

I'm with you on this one.Tomwin Lannister wrote:Dany is a kind person, with an OP as f*** army. She's the leader of the people.
Which is why I think she'll fail miserably half-way through her assault on kings landing in the far distant future
Also think she'll fail miserably.

My best guess is he sees her as a younger Cat, and wants to educate her, learn to play the game, maybe love her and then rule together.
I think Catelyn's death got him by surprise and he wants to substitute her, by a possibly smarter Catelyn. But I think in the end it'll be his downfall and she'll end up out smarting him and betray him, ironically by the only person he expects to be loyal.

This was certainly the worst episode of the three that aired so far. I am expecting better from the remaining seven. Of course we can't have Joffrey die every episode but still, more of the standards this show has set for itself.

Had to google that. Didn't even know the damn dragons had names who tf cares?Zealous wrote:BarrileteCosmico wrote:I wish Dany had named drogon as her champion, but that would probably ruin this episodes budget
Nah would draw too many parallels with the Mad King imo. Since he declared fire the champion of house Targaryen.
(Your reason is more likely though lol)

And also,
Granny -Do Targaryens become immune to fire once they "bond" to their dragons?
George_RR_Martin -Granny, thanks for asking that. It gives me a chance to clear up a common misconception. TARGARYENS ARE NOT IMMUNE TO FIRE! (emphasis mine) The birth of Dany's dragons was unique, magical, wonderous, a miracle. She is called The Unburnt because she walked into the flames and lived. But her brother sure as hell wasn't immune to that molten gold.

She did enter the very hot pool in episode 1 or 2 in S1 like it was normal.

So Iron bank funds the enemy if they don't get their gold back. Is this why Davos wants to talk with Iron bank

Lol don't blame you. The whole world of Ice and Fire is so big that many tend to miss out on small things. Plus the names are all confusing, and there are too many names to keep up specially if you are watching it on TV rather than the books where they keep popping up so you remember them better.

RealGunner wrote:Fantastic episode once again. The way they show all the arcs and do justice to each of them equally, that's one of the biggest strength of the show. Every arc was as good as each other.
Jamie lmfao. Despite what he did, I do think he realised that things are not just the same with her and Cersei anymore. This was the 2nd time she rejected him. I can't see their relationship as close in the future personally and also this was probably the last bit of heel-ness Jaime had in him and that truly will turn him into face full time.
Littlefinger back with a bang. The way he got Sansa out of Kings Landing and the way he smashed one of the necklace's pearl. Of course he had a major hand in Joffrey's poisoning. Why though? What does he gain? I don't think Margery has any involvement in all of this. Lady Olenna is obviously a sly women.
Tyrion-Podrick scene was amazing. Probably the best dramatic bit of the whole episode. Tyrion clearly owes Podrick for saving him on the blackwaters bay while Podrick owes Tyrion for all he did to him. Was bare emotional. Hope he gtfo of the kings landing before he gets beheaded by Cersei.
Ser Davos Amazing man ffs. He is the only one who is keeping Stannis to his real self and not Melisandre's puppet. His plan is cunning. Iron bank are the richest people in the whole world while the crown owes a massive debt to them as explained in Season 2. They can provide the Gold for Stannis.
I don't know whether to like Hound or Hate him. His ways are so controversial lol. He was right about what he said in the end though.
The war in the wall is coming. 100 men vs 10,000+. Can't see how the nights watch are going to win this one. Regarding Sam, he believes he is doing the right thing but he isn't for me. But meh.
Finally Mereen. I loved that scene. Thought it was really well done. Daario Danys throwing the chains in the end was amazing. I don't know why some of you are hating on her. I don't think she is going to go to Westeros anytime soon. Seeing from the trailers, she said something about learning how to rule with mereen. Plus she wants free as many slaves as possible. She has forgotten Westeros and doesn't even mention it anymore.
Forget about her going back imo. She needs to learn how to rule first.
RG ffs I love your post episode mini reviews

Although I don't usually re-watch episodes I come and read the posts here.
Btw do the book readers know what's going to happen in the tv series already?
