Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V10
Manuel Pellegrini refused to rush Sergio Aguero back into Manchester City's side as he wants the Argentine to be fully fit for the title clash at Liverpool.
Aguero, City's top scorer, has returned to training after missing four games with a hamstring injury, but is not yet ready to play in Saturday's clash with Southampton at the Etihad.
Pellegrini had previously suggested the 25-year-old could feature this weekend, but will let his star striker off the leash against Premier League leaders Liverpool the following Sunday.
"Sergio is okay. He has worked just now with the squad but he just started on Thursday, so he needs more work to be 100 per cent fit," said Pellegrini.
"He is not in the squad but he doesn't have any problems with his injury.
"For this week it is too soon for him to start playing because he just worked two days, but next week against Liverpool he will not have any problems."

Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V10
Today's games-ah!
Man City v Southampton
Aston Villa v Fulham
Cardiff v Crystal Palace
Hull v Swansea
Newcastle v Man United
Norwich v West Brom
Chelsea v Stoke
Cardiff v Palace a huuuuge game.
Norwich v WBA almost as huuuge, only one less 'u'.
Title hopefuls City and Chelsea at home against some better mid-table teams, should be straightforward home wins, though. Soton and Stoke have nothing left to play for, either.
I would say it's a must win for Fulham @Aston Villa, but I think they're as good as relegated already. Mitroglue still not fit, dem January reinforcements.
And trolling potential if it's the Newcastle one that comes out victorious from the meeting of the Uniteds.

You have to take Magath's statements about Mitroglou's fitness with a grain of salt, to be fair. If a player can't run a marathon and still have the energy left to play a 90 minute match at full tilt I don't think Magath will consider him "fit".

We won't win, not a chance in hell.
Half the team that beat them at OT earlier in the season won't be playing.
We'll lose comfortably, probably by 2 or 3 goals.

Big game against Cardiff.
If we beat them, I think we only need 3 more points from our remaming games and I'll think we will be safe.
Would take a draw only if Norwich V WBA ends as one as well.

I was sceptical at first, especially after the form that Palace were in in the first half of the season, but in Pulis' hands Palace was always gonna be safe.izzy wrote:Big game against Cardiff.

I don't think you can say that they were always going to be safe when they had three points after the first 10 games.. And they're not safe yet, either, but even a draw would be a good result for them today.

True. I would take the draw, Cardiff have been scoring freely as of late as well.
The defence is what is keeping us in league at the moment. If we do survive, we need two goal scorers next year (7-10 goals each) to survive again.
We've scored 20 this season.

Yeah, that is kind of funny, you are the lowest scoring team in top flight football in England, France, Germany, Italy or Spain, maybe in all of Europe, I couldn't be bothered to extend my research further than those leagues
