ACL injury   out for six months. Just played his last Barca game and missing WC   thank you for everything and best of luck!!!

That's very unfortunate for him. I wonder whether he already signed a contract with a new team - otherwise it will get a bit awkward for him, I fear.

I think Valdes's injury somehow ruins this season for Barca, unless Messi manages to Super Saiyan all his matches. He does get a lot of shit for errors he made over the years, but the fact is he was a solid keeper and a major member of Barca's spine for years.

In fact, if it wasn't for some really great game he had this season, Barca would be be out of the title race all over.

Really hope he plays a final match with Barca after he gets well even if he transfers out, because he totally deserves the honor.

If it wasn't for some of his great saves down the years people might not like admitting it but all those trophies they won wouldn't have happened.

In any case its very sad, not just because he's out for 6 months and misses the WC but also he will probably never play for Barca again.

That's no way to go out.

Devastating news. I hope we pump some HGH into him so he can at least find a team that will take him after he retires from Barca. Perhaps he will stay one more year after this.

Feel really sorry for him. For someone who has had such a long and successful career at such a top club, this is no way to go out. On a World Cup year, too. Cruel.

I hope Barca don't show mercy and offer him a 1 year contract. He wanted to act all tough and all, butthurt, refusing any contract talks, desperate to leave and prove that Barca will crumble without his Lev Yashin-esque skills, thinking that clubs were going to line up for his services en masse. Seems like even on a free transfer only Monaco showed interest, mainly for marketing reasons.

Yeah, he is so overrated that the only reason why we were 7 points clear at one point with Real Madrid(don't remember how many points we were ahead of atleti) was because of Valdes saving our asses time and time again..
