A friend and I went to the Detroit Zoo in the US yesterday for our mutual birthday and on my way back, a drunk man claiming to be an 'East side gangbanger' basically forced me to give him money when I was getting gas.

He didn't rob me per se, but he came up to me asking for me to buy him a beer, so I gave him a few dollars and he was like "what, you think I'm some cheap ni--a?" And insisted that I give him the $5 bill he saw too. He was getting confrontational so I gave it to him so he would feck off but then he talked to me for like 20 minutes trying to get me to 'drive him to a party' and he started freaking out the girl I was with.

I felt so Canadian , we were too kind to tell him to leave us alone as he babbled on trying to explain how he was actually a good guy. Eventually I just told him no and drove away when he was still talking lol. Then we got stuck in traffic and traveled 1km in 2 hours to the border because people kept cutting each other off and traffic couldn't move - if people just obeyed the laws of the road, there wouldn't have been any traffic jam whatsoever.

I don't want to just badmouth 'Merica in general because I know it's not all like that, but I hate Detroit. Never make that city a tourist destination, my 'straylian friends.
