Why so skeptical of the medicine, what is it?

Wal-flu. For the last month or two my body has essentially been cleansed - the last thing I smoked was marijuana and that was 1-2 months ago. Last weekend I started to come down with something (I believe the radical change in my diet is the reason) and I went to the store to purchase some severe cough/cold medicine (wal-flu). While it seems to have helped me heal up, I attempted to go back to work yesterday and I felt high as a kite - legs were wobbly, the thought of talking to gym members seems impossible and I ended up going home halfway through my shift. I was told to take all the time I need, but being that I just completed my first month, I didn't want to miss an extended amount of time. I also experienced some nightmares while under the influence of this "medicine".
