Re: Are Madrid the Real Deal?
Thats it. our season ruined..Gil has jinxed it. GL jinx will do the rest of the work for him.
Dont think we are clear cut second best team any way. PSG,Barcelona (their midfield can carry their defense), Atletico or even Dortmund can beat us and all the matches will be 50-50 so we may be kind of best of the second tier teams but the difference is little.

Re: Are Madrid the Real Deal?
Any streaks we put together against small La Liga teams shouldn't be taken into account and we shouldn't be judged based on that.
It's the big games that matter and it's what we should be judged on.
What I've noticed this season is we struggle whenever a team presses high. Ancelotti says he wants to play possession, but the way we handle high pressing shows we still have a long way to go yet. Di Maria isn't composed enough to retain the ball at all times and Modric takes way too long on the ball and ends up losing it. Alonso obviously can't handle being pressed. There are solutions to all of these problems and it still is Ancelotti's first season, which means hopefully we will improve.

Ancelotti didn't say that he will play possession. He said that the team will play an attacking style, and thats what they do. the players yesterday just had an off day.

Re: Are Madrid the Real Deal?
Nah he's clearly said he wants to play possession football in plenty of interviews, press conferences etc.

I am more worried about the away results.
Atleti 2-2 Real Madrid
Villarreal 2-2 Real Madrid
Athletic Bilbao 1-1 Real Madrid
Barca 2-1 Real Madrid
Juve 2-2 Real Madrid
It's like Carlo is satisfied if we get a draw away when we need to win, this isn't Italy or England ffs. I am worried he is going to make us sit back when we play a big team in CL. Everyone knows we don't have the players for that
he has improved our defending though but all that went out the window against Atleti I don't even know who to blame ffs.

Re: Are Madrid the Real Deal?
Early season games mean very little for Carlo. He's experimenting. Where he really excels is in 2nd half games once he's figured out what the team plays best...
So far in 2014, we destroyed Atleti in CDR semis both legs and got a draw at the Calderon.

Games in the league they lost and drew 2-2 which Atleti would have won if it wasn't for the ref.
Cup games Atleti had various players missing so its not really relevant.

Re: Are Madrid the Real Deal?
As I said before, beating poor La Liga teams and getting 100 match records against them means nothing.
We still have a long way to go yet until we're the finished product, so hopefully we'll improve.

Yeah, that's a load of crap.
They are relevant, because had we lost them or drawn, they would be used against us.

Re: Are Madrid the Real Deal?
This game doesnt change anything.
They're still one of the best teams in the world and one of the favorites to win this year's Champions League.

Of course they would Because you would have lost to a severely weakened Atleti team

Re: Are Madrid the Real Deal?
So its a coincidence that you struggled immensely when you faced Atleti with their best team....
righto keep burying your head in the sand as per usual.

I'm gonna do a you right now.
Against Atleti earlier in the season, Anceliotti hadn't found out what was his best formation and team - Right that game off.
Against Barca, he was still tinkering with the line-up (Ramos in midfield, no striker starting) That wasn't our best team - Write that game off.
Against Atleti in the league, Marcelo and Carvajal didn't start, clearly not our best team. - Write that game off.
CLEARY, we didn't field our best teams for ANY of those games......
