I have only read the old ones. Not read anything big in years. Reading Annihilation currently but I need to find a comic app for my tablet since I don't like reading on PC that much

Knightfall is probably my favorite Batman story of all time along with Dark Knight Returns. You can check that out. I've read mostly Batman stuff, Year One, Holiday Killer, Hush, Killing Joke, Death In The Family, Death Of The Family, Court Of Owls are all amazing. Crisis on Infinite Earths is a must read imo.

To be honest, it was from an article named "50 Marvel Easter Eggs you missed" that I first saw the Infinity Gauntlet in Thor. I knew the stone from Guardians was the Power Stone and the stone in Thor 2 was another Infinity Stone and I pieced it all together from there hmm

Nolan's Batman movies were pretty clearly cop-action movies and not tradition comic-book movies. There success has little to do with Marvel's success and if the rest of the DC cinematic universe tries to take the same tone/approach as TDK series it'll collapse under it's own weight and fail.

That's because they're not all Batman. I bet you a Green Arrow movie could follow that path and do really good.

Besides, I would say Cap 2 Winter Soldier this year deviated a little bit into that direction and came out brilliantly.

But yes, most comic stories aren't as real and relatable as Batman stories so they wouldn't be able to flourish with such an approach.

CM Punk has a new job with Marvel. Along with artist Rob Guillory, Punk is producing a story that will be included in Thor Annual #1, which will be released in February.

Via Marvel.com:

“I’m definitely prepared to fall flat on my face, I think. If anything, [wrestling] got me used to understanding that failure is part of a process, and the only real failure is if you don’t try. Like I could be nervous and bite my fingernails, worried that I think my book is gonna be a piece of crap, but I could be not doing it, and that would be the true failure.”

Punk is an avid comic book reader, but said that this is the first time he’ll be writing the story himself.

“Like, technically this is my first comic book writing assignment, and I’m writing Thor, which is pretty heavy. It’s not an independent. It’s not an offshoot story. I’m writing Thor, one of the Marvel heavy hitters. They make movies about him now, if you didn’t know. And I think we’re both almost looking at it like, “Man, if we never get another assignment from Marvel, then we have to write and/or draw as many Marvel characters as we possibly can!” And I think this kind of gives us the freedom.”

About damn time. I'd recommend reading Cosmic Marvel (or at least GotG and event books) all the way up through Thanos Imperative. It's generally great.

Finished Annihilation. Reading Heralds of Galactus still but the main Annihilation quest is done.

Was absolutely fantastic. Character development, the chemistry between each other, their unique personalities, the whole battle etc. It was really good. Nova, Cammi, Drax, Thanos(specially Thanos), Kl'rt, Surfer, firelord, Galactus, Revenous and peter were probably top of the bunch.

This was easily one of the most badass moment of any comic series [Huge spoilers]

Yeah that's what I usually do but I prefer reading on tablet. It's a hassle transferring from laptop to tablet, something like mangareader.net for Marvel and DC Comics would be very convenient.

if you've got the cash buy them (digital or hard copy). Support good comics so the industry realizes that the audience actually knows the difference and doesn't keep pumping out crap (like the CURRENT Guardians of the Galaxy run).
