Re: Ibrahim Afellay
6M is ridiculously low for him. 15M after he revalues himself after the Eurocup and I'll consider it a good deal, but I don't want him to go.

Re: Ibrahim Afellay
What baffles me is why anyone at the club would even consider letting him go for 6M. We were able to sign him for the low fee because he had almost no time left on his contract and he felt PSV deserved some money for developping him. But if, hypothetically, he still had a 4-year contract when Barça wanted to sign him from PSV, PSV would've easily asked 12-15M. Now he plays for the best club in the world, he's got a champions league title to his name, has had decent to good performances and has probably about 5 good years in him (at least). I'd say we should get 15M at least. He also seems to get along really well with the others in the team. Why sell him at all if we aren't going to make a real profit? 6M would mean 2,5M profit, dafuq is that? Peanuts.
Re: Ibrahim Afellay
True, big game by Afellay for Holland against Slovakia, involved in both goals...
Keep them all...
Messi, Pedro, Villa, Alexis, Cuenca, Tello and Afellay.
Its going to be another long season (2012-13), we might play up to 62 official games...

Re: Ibrahim Afellay
I hope it's just false rumours but I too struggle to understand why Ibi is involved in so many stories about being sold...Even Milito was given a chance to recover from his injury and give it a go before being let go...And it would make little financial sense considering a good Euro & season under his belt would surely raise his profile & value

Re: Ibrahim Afellay
Another good game by Afellay I reckon, scored a goal. Didn't see it as I was at the cinemas watching Prometheus, but regardless of his game today (which was probably another good performance) I'm hoping he gets a lot of playing time in the EC. Even though he came back from a substantial injury he seems to be one of our better players right now.

If you want red cards every game then sure lol.... Tiote has about as much chance of being a successful CB as Messi does

You would've said the same thing about Masche when he was at Liverpool

Re: Ibrahim Afellay
Yeah, I reckon he going to own tonight. He may still be a tad rusty (which is normal of course) but he really has fond a niece with the Dutch NT.
Denmark arent the best defensive team either so I could see him having a good game.

Re: Ibrahim Afellay
I barely watched him in PSV but whenever I have seen him play in Barça or Oranje, his touch has been very poor. He has quick feet and very fast but I don't think he has the brains to become a great player.

I wasnt talking about you, I was just saying.
And now reading your comment, it doesnt make much sense to me. That little spell of games before his injury (about 6-8 games) he was fantastic, touch included.

Re: Ibrahim Afellay
Agree... I would make that observation about Alexis who has the touch of an elephant at times but generally Afellay has a good touch. He's tall and his movements are more clunky and not smooth like the Spaniards, but he doesn't lack a good touch. He's just not much of a magician in tight spaces which is what we need, and he is still developing a Barca-level football IQ.
