Previous Generation XI Vs Current Generation XI

For the previous Generation, I am only counting players who are between 30 and 39. Current Gen is between 20 and 29.

Curious to see who would make both teams for everyone and who is better?

I would personally replace Suarez with falcao, he hasn't been doin much sitting up there in Monaco. And maybe put Lahm in place of schwinny, after all he is excelling as a dm in bayern right now.

Lahm is 30. I am talking about prime for current Gen, not present.

Define generation? Are Ronaldinho/Kaka really the same genration as Ronaldo/Zidane? What generation would Zanetti and Maldini be in?

I defined the Generations in the OP. Ages 30-39 for previous, 20-29 for current.

Maldini is over 40 therefore doesn't count, same with Zidane.

What about Arturo Vidal?

i would put ronaldinho on the wing and replace beckham with Zidane.

on the new gen, i would put RVP or Agureo in Falcao's place

Are you meaning to ask which generation could supply the most raw talent on paper when crafting a 'realistic' starting eleven or, given a team of stars from each generation, which would triumph, taking into account how they might work on the pitch?

I mainly ask because the defensive work rate and team work to be found in the front four of the current generation has me in stitches.
