Dafuq?! Is this really happening?
Xavi. :(Who's going to criticize the state of the away pitches and the bunkerfootballism of our opponents now? Iniesta isn't vocal enough for this role.
What's the problem? You said there are many stronger players than Wilshere in cantera, therefore I image the level is so high.
There are. Rafinha >>> Wilshere. But Wilshere isn't exactly the standard we are looking for to win trophies.
Wilshere is 5 times the player Rafinha or anyone at barca B is. But I hope the barca management thinks like you

Gil wrote:Is Draxler really that good? From the games I've watched he's not much of a playmaker and he doesn't have the outstanding pace/power either.
Perhaps Wenger wants to convert him into a striker ala RVP and Henry? £40m for a project seems absurd though. Compared to Neymar, Hazard and Gotze who also went for a exorbitant fees at around the same age, they all achieved far more than Draxler has done so far.
Seems like a Lucas type failure in the making.
He isn't really anything, and has been the most overrated youngster in the past 2 years. His strengths are dribbles when not marked by closely by his markers and his ability to use space on the wide flanks in getting forward efficiently. His finest trait is his eye for the goal along with his finishes yet aside from that his traits are nothing special. Time is the best thing he has on his side.
He has been good for Schalke in the CL (though weak teams) yet poor for them within the Bundesliga.
I have failed to see how Arsenal want him and for that absurd price. Many other more talented German talents, even in his own team.
Wouldn't start in Arsenal.

Haven't heard anything about Hernanes this season, what's the deal? injured? or playing poor?
the few times I saw him the last few seasons he has been legit though, whatever, I know he'd be an upgrade. I just want some signings.

Juan Cuadrado insists that while he is flattered by the interest of "great teams", he has "no desire" to leave Fiorentina.
The Colombia international is widely regarded as one of the most exciting wingers in Italy and is reportedly on the transfer wishlist of Juventus boss Antonio Conte.
However, Cuadrado, who is co-owned by the Viola and Udinese, says that he is loving life at the Artemio Franchi and sees no reason to seek a move elsewhere.
"I'm happy with what I'm doing here," the 25-year-old told El Tiempo. "A professional always wants great things for his career and I am proud of the interest of these great clubs.
"But I'm happy in Florence. The city is beautiful and the people are very friendly. I have no desire to leave the team.
"I hope to continue like this and to improve even more. I will try to win something with Fiorentina and get in shape for the summer for the World Cup."

Re: 2013/14 Winter Transfer Rumours Mk. III
Arsenal defender Per Mertesacker would welcome compatriot and Schalke forward Julian Draxler at the Emirates Stadium.
Schalke's general manager Horst Heldt has also recently admitted that Draxler could leave, with the player's contract including a release clause believed to be set at £37.8 million.
And Mertesacker, who has become a key man for the north London side, along with fellow Germany internationals Mesut Ozil and Lukas Podolski, believes the youngster would fit in well at the Premier League club.
"We already have a little German academy here and I learned that German discipline and talents are very appreciated here (at Arsenal)," the defender told SPOX.
"We would love to welcome a player like Draxler, he is so young and already plays a huge role in Schalke and in the national team."
However Mertesacker was unable to shed any light on the likelihood of Draxler's arrival, indicating he himself is eager to see what unfolds.
"There is lots of talking about possible transfers, I am curious about what is going to happen," he added.
Schalke have, as of yet, insisted that they are yet to receive any bids for their attacking star.

Re: 2013/14 Winter Transfer Rumours Mk. III
Schalke will not renew goalkeeper Timo Hildebrand's contract when it expires in June, the Bundesliga club confirmed on Thursday.
The 34-year-old has been at the club since 2011 and has made 20 appearances this season in all competitions.
However, Schalke will not be offering Hildebrand a new deal, with general manager Horst Heldt praising the former Germany international's impact at the Veltins Arena.
"He has an important share in the successes of the past two-and-a-half years with third and fourth place in the Bundesliga, the first knockout round in the Champions League and reaching the quarter-finals of the Europa League," Heldt told Schalke's official website.
"In addition, he has always identified with Schalke and this was made unequivocally clear.
"Our task, however, is to mainly affect decisions for the future. I am quite sure that this will not change his impeccable commitment to Schalke 04."
Hildebrand has been a regular under Jens Keller this season, helping the club to seventh in the Bundesliga, with Schalke also qualifying for the knockout stage of the Champions League.
However, goalkeeper Ralf Farhmann has since been preferred to Hildebrand, playing the last four league games.

Re: 2013/14 Winter Transfer Rumours Mk. III
Why are we being linked to Morata
What is the point in that?
We need wingers and a left back
If we do bring in a striker it needs to be somebody who's a cut above what we have.

Laporte the way he has been playing this season and the last, is actually worth that much based on current market inflation. Still only 19, complete and only has had 3-4 poor games over two seasons.
Will be partnering Varane for Les Bleus within 5 years time or less.

Essien will leave Chelsea, according to his agent.
"The player will leave Chelsea," Piveteau confirmed. "I have had a lot of contact with different clubs, but Milan are not one of them - or at least I personally haven't had direct contact with the Rossoneri.
"I have some important meetings coming up this week, and then I will fly to London to assess the best solution with the club and the player."
