Not liking my own team, especially the CBs. Lack of Bayern players considering they have been the best team. Could take out Koke and put Zlatan at CF and Suarez at CAM but that would make the team really unbalanced. And it's unbalanced enough anyway lol.
Post your's.

Actually it's a very good team except for maybe lacking some more Bayern players. I'd put Lahm ahead of Coleman.

Lahm has mostly played in midfield this season. Tbh Coleman has been the best RB in PL this season. Best RB in Serie A has been Jonathan, it was a contest between these two for me.

Re: Team Of The Half Season- 2013/14
I only really watch Serie A and PL so i'll do a combined one from that.... ( i watch BL too but most of them are Dortmund, Schalke and below hardly seen Bayern at all)
I know Jonathan is a RWB but no RB has been that impressive IMO.
Best of PL this season is probably Debuchy, Sagna, Coleman and Zabaleta and i could have picked any of them tbh but also i didn't want to pick too many PL players.
Cech
Jonathan Mertesacker Benatia Gibbs
Vidal Ramsey Pjanic
Suarez Aguero Rossi

Obviously this will come as biased but Sagna has been a better RB than Coleman. We often played Sagna as a lone Right sided player with no genuine winger ahead of him and he did really good defensively playing against 2 players. But Coleman himself has been really good so no complaints from me.
Good shout on Debuchy n Zaba too mole.

Re: Team Of The Half Season- 2013/14
I think this is a very difficult list to make, especially for some people who did not watch a lot of game from all the leagues.
I know I couldn't do a list like this outside of Serie A, and even then, I only watched few matches compared to what I watch last years.

Coleman got raped by Assaidi so badly last week, sorry if I can't bring myself to rate him highly.

Everyone knows I am the best of judger so I can name the best team
Speaking of which, Goetze would have easily made the team if he had played 5-10 matches more. He has been sensational since coming back from injury.

Re: Team Of The Half Season- 2013/14
UPDATED TEAM
Manager: Pep Guardiola
Bench: Valdes, Coleman, Barzagli, Koscielny, Baines, Lahm, Schweinstniger, Strootman, Rossi, Aguero, Zlatan
After some more thought I decided to replace Coleman with Jonathan. Coleman has been fantastic in the attacking department but Jonathan has been excellent both defensively and offensively. Forward line is the most competitive position. Rossi, Zlatan and Aguero just misses as starters.

He's getting hyped because he scores a lot for a fullback and Everton are having a great season.... he's not that good a defender though.
Of the fullbacks i named from the PL he's probably the worst defender but offensively better Debuchy is probably the closest offensively.

Enyeama
Coleman Benatia Godin Alaba
Ramsey Yaya Koke/Vidal
Ronaldo Costa Ribery
Coleman Benatia Godin Alaba
Ramsey Yaya Koke/Vidal
Ronaldo Costa Ribery
Tough to leave Suarez out but Costa has clearly been the best CF in Europe this season.
Yaya has been the most impressive midfielder in Europe this season. Even more so than Ramsey & Vidal. The rest pretty much speak for themselves.
EDIT: Undecided between Koke and Vidal. Vidal is clearly the better player but Koke is arguably having just as impressive a season and is the main man in midfield for a team leading a credible title charge against the Traditional Big 2 in Spain. Think he also leads Europe in assists.
Forgot about my man Cesc as well 7 goals/10 assists already this season. Incredible productivity.

By far the best lineup atm. I would have Suarez infront of Costa but its a matter or preference.Gil wrote:Enyeama

Tbf I'm not seeing Neymar on the benches here and he's been good enough for the half season best bench imo

Formation: 4-2-3-1
I found more worthy CBs than WBs.
I think that this best XI is a fair reflection of the teams that are performing well atm.
Unlucky to miss out: Ronaldo, Aguero, Ramsey, G. Rossi, Barzagli, Handanovic, Y. Toure
Enyeama
Godin - T. Silva - Benatia - Alaba
Vidal ------ Fabregas
Koke ------ Ozil ------ Ribery
