Assume Spain would lose all these players. Where would Spain then rank?

They have a very good squad, they just need a World Class Forward!

Top 30 for me or so. That's a very average team bar the midfield. If it's someone like Pep managing them then they can do more than their quality but otherwise, it doesn't look threatening at all.

You have to take into consideration that the current Catalan National Team is playing unofficial games. IF they did get their independence, the Catalan federation will work to build a NT that can compete. Barcelona and Espanyol's academies are the best in Spain, they might not compete now but they'll have a strong NT in the future.

and what exactly would the federation do? create catalan players on pro clubs?

If Catalonia were to break free, Thiago, as well as Iniesta, Pedro and practically any Spanish (or non Spanish-look at Costa with Spain for example) player that's lived the majority of his life in Catalonia or was raised in Catalonia would be given the chance to pick if they wanted to remain with the Spain NT or play for the new Catalan NT. So the majority of the Espanyol, Barca cadets would be eligible if they desired to join

Basque team would also be pretty beast. Arteta and Xabi would a beast midfield to go along with what they already have at Bilbao

Most on form GK in the world
Above average defense, certainly good enough for international football
Admittedly their forwards suck

Spains depth is that ridiculous. Besides, there isn't a TON of Basque players in the Spanish NT. Losing the Basque players wouldn't hurt them as much as losing the Catalan players (I could be wrong, I might have to do some more research on this lol). If Iniesta and co decided to join the Catalan team, the Spanish NT would just add Mata, Silva, Isco or whoever to the starting lineup. Thats pretty nuts

Easily top 20 for me. Forwards suck but unarguably the best midfield out there.

lets make a new rule instead of saying top X number why not list the teams that are accordingly better then them.

We would be a top 10 team for sure, and with some luck win some tournament once in a while.
