Mario Balotelli
How far can he go? I haven't seen this much potential in a CF since R9. His ceiling is limitless. If he puts his head down and concentrates on football, he will win the balon d'or at some point in his career.

Since R9?
I don't think he's that good or has that high level of talent.....

Re: Mario Balotelli
Best "upcoming" forward since Zlatan. Glad he moved away from Mancini, he was scapegoated way too much at City by Mancini. Gets like 10 minutes a game to impress, not even as a CF at times, dubbed a "flop" with "no talent", and could only "score penalty's" because of the worst manager in the world.

There won't be another player like R9. Not in this capitalist game.

Are you really going to tell me that majority of the players today have as much passion / love for the game then the players in R9's era?

Re: Mario Balotelli
Just because he was incredibly young when he started playing at the top level does not equal potential, especially not R9 potential.

I am not going to tell you anything because I don't know what went on in their heads. All I know is that money has always ruled football. R9 left Barcelona because of money...Figo joined Madrid because of Money...

Ok......
Anyway, I've never thought Balotelli was this amazing player with unbelievable talent level, I've never thought that.
I can't really compare him to past strikers of the 90s - early 2000s, I don't think he'll ever be in that class.
That's just me.

Yes, because money has increased, if you swap the players of this era and the last the same thing would happen. It's human nature. Money unfortunately runs the world

Re: Mario Balotelli
He just needs to get his act together. The last 4 games he hasn't received a single yellow card (Personal record at Milan) and, he has started to perform wonderfully (Last match a testament to that).

Yeah, and it's going to get a lot worse from now to into the future.
There won't be another player like R9/Dinho. There might be quality wise, but not one that will show the amount of passion they did for the game which gave them that extra 10% to achieve more.

Such Passion that Dinho ended up drinking and partying so hard, he missed training, R9 had such passion for football that he couldn't stop eating. As far as I'm concerned, Ronaldo has more passion than the both of them. The guy watches himself constantly

Re: Mario Balotelli
Yet they still played at 110% every game.
As for Cristiano, he is the best role model in the game right now. But he only really cares about his rep.

No, if they had this passion for football like you said they would have stayed in shape. Again how do you know what he cares about. Ronaldinho definitaley did not care about his rep. If he did he would not have been so *bleep* unprofessional.

I'm more than sure than Cristiano has more passion for football than for his rep.

Re: Mario Balotelli
Immensely talented, but an infant terrible he remains.
Same was said of Cassano at this age. He's turned out to have a fairly respectable career, but nonetheless there's a very distinct and unmistakable feeling that he could've been so much more.
At the moment, I'd say Balo heading down that same road.

Re: Mario Balotelli
I think one thing which will always separate him for Cassano is his physical gifts. Cassano got out of shape and he wasnt ever a really good athlete to begin with.
Balo is a big, strong and fast kid who will have all that for a while.
Balo should be RVP with physique. If he gets to that level is anyone's guess. Even after all these years, he has plenty of time.

He has the potential to be way better than RVP.

I swear it was only last week that people on this bi-polar forum were denouncing him as the most overrated player in the world.

What? I have always said this. Go look at the Aguero vs Balotelli thread. I rate him very highly. I'm being deadly serious notroll...
