Pogba: 'Without the red card...' Empty Pogba: 'Without the red card...'

Paul Pogba believes Juventus “could’ve earned a draw” against Real Madrid if Giorgio Chiellini hadn’t been sent off.

“It was clearly not a red card offence. The referee made this decision, so we can’t do anything about it now,” the French midfielder told Sky Sport Italia after the 2-1 defeat.

“We are sad about this, as it was tougher to play with 10 men. We had a good first half and I think we could’ve earned a draw here, but when going down to 10 it was more difficult.

“We knew that we had to stay compact and go on the counter-attack, which we did very well.”

Antonio Conte changed Juventus to a 4-3-3 formation, shelving his usual 3-5-2.

“We know Carlitos Tevez is very strong and we need him in attack. I worked for him too on the left, as that is what we prepared in training.”

The Bianconeri have dropped down to third place on two points behind Galatasaray with four.

“We are sad because we lost this match, but it’s not over yet and we have three games to go. We must look forward and hope to win.”
