Re: The Official 2014 Road to Brazil World Cup Qualifying Thread
Interview with Ziad Al Samad (GK)
How did you prepare for the U.A.E and was it different from the preparation that you had for South Korea?
In truth we learned from the mistakes that we committed against South Korea and we corrected it in Beirut. Preparation for the U.A.E went well and thank God that we learned from the lesson that the South Koreans gave us and we got a very difficult victory over the U.A.E. God bless Lebanon, and the Lebanese that were here in this very important and well deserved victory.
Many people mocked you after the game in Seoul, how did that affect you and what is your secret to performing so well right after?
Lets be honest, there are a lot of people that doubt my abilities. I was out of training for 6 months, but when my country calls on me I have to give my best no matter the circumstances. There were people who attacked me and said I should be a sumo wrestler instead of a football player, but I believe performing in the game was the best way to answer my critics , and maybe without them I wouldn't have performed as well. I also want to thank whoever supported me and gave me positive responses and raised my morale.
How are the preparations for the Kuwait game going to be like?
The preparations will continue but of course in a very serious and organized way. It is vital that we win in the game so that we can clean the image that we'v portrayed in the past (careless and passionless) especially against Kuwait after they put six very clean goals through our net.
One last thing,
I would like to thank whoever visited and whoever believed in our ability, and I would like to tell our fans to please give us a chance to prove that we are capable of representing our proud nation and handling it well. Thanks to the loyal crowd that "hugged the pitch" and I hope that there will be more in the next game.

Wow... Antigua and Barbuda have eliminated Haiti
While Guyana is 45 min. away from eliminating Trinidad & Tobago.
Canada are 0-0 at Halftime with St. Kitts and St. Nevis, all the canucks need is a tie, and El Salvador have wrapped up their group with a 3-1 win in Suriname.

Colombia 1 - 1 Venezuela.
Not bad, but we could have won it. We got completely owned in the first half, and I don't know why Farias can't play both Rondón and Miku at the same time. Has a hardon for old, useless and fat strikers, it seems.
But Feltscher I don't care if you speak funny, great goal.
Amorebieta is also a beast, Spanish accent or not.

These are some good games.
Ecuador already talking about parking the bus.
Chile having to deal with the altitude.
And Uruguay look like a strong candidate to star invicto against a darkhorse Vinotinto team.

Wow.. Venezuela empatan con Los Charrua!!
I think El Vinotinto sello their pasaje al mundial.
A Tie away in Montevideo almost sees them as a favorite to qualify to their first World Cup.
