I rate him as a tier 2 striker. Up there with the likes of Lewa and Cavani, but below the likes of Suarez, Aguero and Ibra.

Cavani would be tier 1 if he wasn't shafted out of position and playing 2nd fiddle to Ibra

You guys do realize that since Jese got injured, Ronaldo got injured and Bale keeps getting injured....  Benz has had to start 48 games this season and 51 total appearances.  He's been tired for 3-4 weeks now and obviously tired.  BUT Carlo has been forced to leave him in there just to keep the attack functioning at least.  He's started EVERY game but 2 since the start of 2014.

BBC create chances for themselves.  When 1 of them is out, it becomes difficult.  When 2 of them are out it's impossible.  Why?  Di Maria is forced to play as a forward and our midfield becomes inept...  they don't create anything for the forwards.  THe way we function is Di Maria being the creator in the midfield and BBC in front of him.  Benz was basically dezoning all game long today trying to link up and help create.  Of course, Di Maria was also tired and looked slow... think about that, Di Maria looked SLOW  most of his passes didn't go more than 2 feet off the ground.

Bad roster management by Carlo is coming back to haunt us late.  Worked his starting XI to death. Our last energy reserves were spent on beating Bayern and we haven't recovered yet.

couldnt agree more with you, Falcao fit is also tier one, he is the god of all poachers and a monstrously clutch player.

Really, people need to stop comparing him to Suarez, he aint as good, he has time to make the leap, but good luck.

Similarly, let's not put him down the toilets when he has bad games, he has turned himself around since january and he has played quite admirably overall.

As for the whole scrub killer thing, it's true about Suarez, but killing scrubs win you leagues. And overall since he has been in england, suarez has a good record vs big teams, not incredible, but it's good (that's why i rate kun higher).

Anyway, dont call Suarez scrub killer as if Karim is a big team killer himself. there have been plenty of big games this years he was transparent in, and in the past as well. Dortmund twice, vs Bayern he was good, but didnt kill them unless scoring tap ins now is an art; vs atletico he has been mostly useless this year; vs bilbao at san mames laporte and co dominated him... and 17 goals in league campaign is not good enough for a team that ambitions to be champions.

nick you are dodging the question name 1 striker who can turn it on at will when they are not primary goal scorer majority of the season, rooney-rvp? ibra-cavani? falcao-costa? no one does that shit, yet you guys keep asking for primary goal scoring form from a player that been 2nd when cr is fit and 3rd when bale is in the team, it just illogical and for a bunch of footy followers this concept seems to escape you all, anyway i know its all about trolling benzema so why should i expect some common sense when he is clearly exhausted and yet gets most of the criticism for playing badly when tired, who goats tired? so i can see where you guys are coming from?

i recall benzema enjoying a good scoring form in jan-feb, that wasnt an issue back then was it? but he lacks consistency.

suarez is better, that's not up for debate.

what you can debate however is how well he would fit into what we do with Bale and CR on both sides.

his goalscoring cant be relied on, everything else about his game, ok. he is a great facilitator, but he is not as dominant a forward as suarez, it's not rocket science.

i cant compare because there is no player in a similar situation, being the CF and still playing for someone else. what example do u want me to use?

also, just as you accuse people of belittling him, you are belittling suarez in return. the way he has dominated the epl this year and dragged liverpool in the title race is remarkable. you cant shoot down another player in an argument to elevate the one you like.
