Rossi concerned by Matri sale

Italy legend Paolo Rossi isn’t too sure that former club Juventus would be right to sell Alessandro Matri.

The latter is understood to be in talks about a possible transfer to title rivals Napoli following the Turin arrivals of Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente.

“We need to understand the desires of Matri,” the 1982 World Cup winner commented to Tuttosport.

“If he is not happy at Juventus then it is only right for him to find a new club. However, if he is happy to sit on the bench at Juve then…

“Make no mistake, Matri is a guarantee.”

The striker, who will be 29 later this month, joined the Old Lady in January 2011 from Cagliari. He has scored 23 goals in 83 games for the Bianconeri.

no I don't believe he is a WOW player but he is still a massive upgrade to Alessandro Miss-tri, at least based on his pre-injury [pre-Bielsa politics] Bilbao form..

Lolo scored 3 goals last season as a sub lol

Last seasons record means nothing...

He was benched for a year due to a fall out afer he declared he was leaving.


That's like bringing up ADPs last year and calling him shit.


Also, either way even if Llorente doesn't flop, We have Vucinic - Tev instead of Matri. He needs to go.

Also, don't expect much from Llorente for a few months anyway. Because he's been screwed up with lack of game time and needs more time to adjust.
