I wonder how Pep will handle these things. This isnt Barca, there he could do what he wants, he is one of the people.

At Bayern he is not.

If I want to make a guess, I think Pep has an ideal team in his head, but a different one he will end up using on the pitch, especially in the bigger games.

I bet in Peps mind he wants Lahm in midfield with Bastian, Thiago deep in the number 4 role. Robben/Gotze in the middle, Ribery left and Gotze/Robben right.

Bastian says he wants to play the number 4 position so thats a problem, Muller being benched will upset people, same maybe for Kroos and people will get funny about Lahm in midfield and the potentional ostracization of Mandzukic.

Indeed. I believe at the moment he's seeing what his the other players have to offer and what he's working with especially with his formation/etc.

Either way he'll do things the way he wants and changes will happen. At the end they'll forget about it as long as he delivers silverware.

This Bayern doesn't look anything like Pep's Barça, even the game vs. us.

Anyway, they still can learn the style and crush everyone, they are talented and lacking Goatze.

Yea. Their positioning is awful. The pressing is getting there and the movement of the front 3 was similar.

Martinez, I hope he doesnt play as CB, pep has to manage it till Badstubber comes back.
I think Mandzukic will be always his trump card. To keep him happy he will start him in between for some weak sides. Against the bigger sides he may use him as sub mostly.

Milan played with 6 players 20 yrs or younger avg. age was 22.8, some great talents there, the more experience they get the better they get.

I know we'll do well, but I haven't been happy with what I've seen so far. However, with our squad there is no way with that much talent that we won't walk the league and do some damage in the Champions League in spite of the tinkering by Pep.

Oh well, guess I'll leave it alone until we get to the knock out rounds of the Champions League.
