GoonerJay29 wrote:So who have they bought and we are their vital players now?
They've brought in: Beto (made last season's loan permanent), Nico Pareja (on loan), Daniel Carrico (on loan with option to buy), Marko Marin (on loan), Vitolo, Jairo, Raul Rusescu, Carlos Bacca and Kevin Gameiro.
As far as vital players go, the midfield trio of Medel, Kondogbia and Rakitic is very important to the side, and Gameiro will be counted on to get the goals Negredo would have got.
Thx for that, not easy to keep track this is great info

How is it a club like Barca, with such huge revenue, can still owe the tax man nearly $50m euros?!

Real Madrid and Barcelona could soon be forced by the European Commission to relinquish their privileged status as member-owned clubs and are likely to become plcs, losing one of the key advantages behind their dominance of Spanish football and success in European competition.
In a development that could affect the landscape of European football, The Independent can reveal that the European Commission competition office's four-year investigation into allegations of illegal state aid against both Madrid and Barcelona, linked to their status as membership clubs, is at tipping point.

Re: La Liga 2013/14 Discussion
Too many players leaving La Liga for EPL, mostly because the top two are so much richer and stronger than the rest that you lose incentives playing for other clubs. Amorebieta left Bilbao after many rows with the loco. Now Cissokho has left Valencia. I don't know how Valencia will try to get CL spot with Postiga replacing Soldado . Barcelona and Chelsea reject Romeu to replace Tino. Past few seasons we've barely spent any money on transfers.

Neymar is a 19 year old playing support for Messi. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't break 15 goals this season. Villa outscoring him being the focal point of Atleti's attack is entirely likely.
Btw I'm surprised Valencia only have 6m in tax debt.

This thread shows how much there is a lack of interest in La Liga on this forum even among Barca-Real fanboys bar a few.

Probably. Or some rather wait till the season actually starts before discussing anything. Not all La Liga followers are like MT...

Re: La Liga 2013/14 Discussion
Yeh true. There really isn't anything interesting in La Liga currently with Real Madrid/Barca dominating the league.
Nothing really interesting about the midtable clubs who have weakened and any of the lower clubs either.

I have my doubts that 70-80% of Real/Barca fans on here watch other teams in La Liga.Doc wrote:Probably. Or some rather wait till the season actually starts before discussing anything. Not all La Liga followers are like MT...
Hence not much 'discussion'..

Re: La Liga 2013/14 Discussion
True, but La Liga is not of interest for many of us. We want to win it, because we dont want Franco to win it. CL is much more important. I dont care about Rayo Vallecano vs Elche, but I do care about City vs Chelsea because we might face them in CL.

Good wins for the two Basque teams. La Real especially should welcome some positive momentum ahead of their game against Lyon. I think signing Granero was a good move for them. He'll definitely help out in midfield.
Malaga Valencia should be good game. (Though I missed the first half hour lol)

Re: La Liga 2013/14 Discussion
Some of us have busy lives outside of this forum.. I prefer to discuss matters that affect Madrid directly, or regarding certain players I likeS wrote:I have my doubts that 70-80% of Real/Barca fans on here watch other teams in La Liga.Doc wrote:Probably. I don't watch half as many footy games as I used to a few years back because of time constraints, but I don't care as long as I watch my Madrid
