Roma North American Tour
Roma squad for USA and Canada tour:
Balzaretti, Benatia, Bradley, Burdisso, Caprari, Castan, Crescenzi, De Rossi, De Sanctis, Dodo, Florenzi, Jedvaj, Lamela, Lobont, Maicon, Marquinho, Osvaldo, Pjanic, Ricci, Romagnoli, Skorupski, Strootman, Taddei, Tallo, Torosidis, Totti, Verre
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Looking forward to seeing these guys in action, a lot of new faces compared to last year's tour: De Rossi, Balzaretti, some younger players and the new acquisitions obviously.

Re: Roma North American Tour
A strong squad for these friendlies. The MLS all stars are probably going to provide the sternest test, if I'm honest. They take the All-star game quite seriously and have a good record as well.
Mourinho's Chelsea in Washington will be a good one as well.

Same here, brah.
Kansas City was really the only doable one, but it fell in the wrong summer unfortunately.....again.

Yup. Actually I'd be overjoyed if he was sold, I'd be content with simply giving him away for free.

Re: Roma North American Tour
Keep your eyes out for Jedvaj and Lamela tonight. The former may be starting at RB in the absence of Maicon, while the Argentinian may start as our CF where he has trained this week and given that Osvaldo might miss out.
If Di Vaio or Bernier score tonight, I'm giving them shit next time I see them.

Re: Roma North American Tour
Probable formation after this morning's training session:
De Sanctis; Torosidis, Benatia, Castan, Balzaretti; Bradley, De Rossi, Strootman; Lamela, Pjanic, Totti.
I have a little trouble envisioning Pjanic's position with this set up.

Dear god I hope that lineup works, can you imagine the shut down midfield that could produce while still producing a lot of fireworks. Best midfield in Serie A by far.

Re: Roma North American Tour
Problem with that is lack of speed at CB and the fact that Lamela can't possibly be flanked by Pjanic and Totti. That midfield should be good to watch though.

Re: Roma North American Tour
My wish granted at the expense of Strootman...
MLS ALL-STARS (4-3-1-2): Fernández, Beltran, Gonzalez, Collin, Ashe; Johnson, Beckerman, Davis; Zusi; Henry (C), Di Vaio.
Bench: Rimando, Besler, Yedlin, Bernier, Donovan, Magee, Wondolowski, Sanvezzo, McInerney.
Coach: Peter Vermes.
ROMA (4-3-3): Lobonț, Torosidis, Benatia, Castán, Balzaretti; Pjanić, De Rossi, Bradley; Caprari, Totti (C), Lamela.
Bench: Skorupski, De Sanctis, Burdisso, Romagnoli, Crescenzi, Dodô, Maicon, Jedvaj, Taddei, Florenzi, Strootman, Marquinho, Verre, Ricci F., Osvaldo, Tallo.
Coach: Rudi Garcia.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Suprised to see Lobont start, I thought De Sanctis was going to get his first start. Strootman dropped for Caprari, but at least we'll have some speed up front.

Nice to try it out in the pre-season though, because if it's like last year the MLS will actually given us a pretty good go of it. I hope it works out personally, because I think it would help us out defensively with such a stud midfield clogging up the middle of the pitch.

Is Mike Magee injured? Dude is leading the race for the MLS MVP and doesn't get the start

Re: Roma North American Tour
Thoughts so far:
Strootman and Bradley looking like a pretty good pairing. Almost looks like they've been playing together for years, great sign heading into the season. Strootman is ridiculously fast, and Bradley is the steel and calm in the midfield.
Totti

Re: Roma North American Tour
On a side note di vaio was a Roma killer a couple seasons ago. I remember a couple of big late goals against us he scored.
He was a top 10 guy in Italy when he left all he needs is a chance benatia looks like a classic out there.
