He's signed 3 players from Madrid now, no?
He's got Reina ON A LOAN.
[Higgy, Callejon, Rafael (GK), Reina (loan), Mertens and Albiol all in for the Cavani money.] He still has around 60m to spend.
Albiol-12m
Callejon and Mertens combined 19.2m
Rafael-5m
Armero(permanent transfer)-4m
Calaio-1.25m
Thats ~42m already and if they seal the Higuain deal ,it amounts around 80m in total.
I think they'll sign a DM and LB after this and close the market.Gonalons is the one who's been heavily linked for the DM position while i saw Kolarov links for LB position lately.

Albiceleste wrote:who are you going to buy that is a top class striker like higuain for less than that? you wont find anyone, I can guarantee you that. people who say this price is unreasonable dont seem to understand that this is what top players cost these days, his contract wasnt running out and he is just getting into his prime. Madrid had no problems keeping him either if Ancelotti's words are to be believed.DeviAngel wrote:I don't rate him as I said he ain't worth that much esp 37 mil lol
buying higuain to replace cavani will be a great move for Napoli, getting rid of their best/most important player and not replacing him with a player of similar caliber as others suggest would not be a good idea if they are serious about challenging the top spots.
I don't rate him as top class striker that's about it. Ibrahimovic is on the market and I am sure they could have gotten him for 20 mils, 3-4 mils more and you have Suarez ffs. He is not top player I understand you like players from Argentina as I follow your posts and see form them but its your opinion not mine he is overrated player who had 2 'good' seasons these years, flopped in Europe and who is not tested in worlds most defensive league were teams defend with 11 players, I don't think he can break down defenses like that plus he is to wasteful I've always seen him as RWST not as SS or ST or CF. Than again you have Dzeko who i much cheaper and I bet he would be better in Serie A than Higuain, than Gomez was on the market. Madrid had problems keeping him, Madrid just don't want to let players go like they did in the past for cheap nothing else. Madrid are on the market for striker for years. Cavani is totally different player, players like him succeed in serie a because hs strong he can hold the ball and make space for himself, Higgy can't do that.

I would be happy as you are if someone offered the same amount of money for Vucinic's level of player

Better fit for Arsenal due to the players around him. But Arsenal are too cheap to sign this caliber of player.
Higgy is nothing like Torres.

As a player I would definitely say they are the same level but then what they're both good at is completely different (one leaning more on the flair filled creative side and the other a goalscorer) . Vucinic has been the top striker for the best team in Italy and probably in the top 5 of Europe for two straight seasons so I would say at the very least he is at that level.

Juve fans stop being bitter.
Higgy is better than Vucinic. It shouldn't even be up for debate.

Re: Higuain to Napoli is Done
Exactly
No, goalscoring terms Higuain is far ahead.
But Vucinic isn't the main man, he's a converted wide forward to excels in bringing teammates into the game, creating space and working with his back to goal.
So if you're naive enough to just compare goals then that's fine, but that's only really applicable if both players have that job.

Re: Higuain to Napoli is Done
It is overpay, in my opinion, but Napoli got their man so good for them. Really excited for Serie A this year, every team has seemed to improve this off season.
It makes sense for Napoli anyways, they're in the Champions League and they just sold their prized asset and club icon. Higuain will do well.
I really enjoy reading the Real Madrid fans slandering other clubs who are criticizing the move, defensive about a player who expressed his desire to play elsewhere and bounced around the interest of a few clubs before landing at Napoli for a fatter price than previously mentioned. I guess I would be proud too...

Re: Higuain to Napoli is Done
Oh by the way, Higuain who is apparantly far too good to be compared to Vucinic has 9 goals in 48 CL apps for RM
Meanwhile Vucinic has 10 goals in 35 apps, 13 of which he was subbed on.
Higuain, leagues above Mirko

So the reasoning is: vucinic plays as the main striker for an elite club therefore is elite himself?
Oh dear...

Re: Higuain to Napoli is Done
You guys are forgetting that CR7 is the main target of all the attacks... our CFs are there for support and to get the scraps. Vucinic was the main target for Juve.
I would also venture to say that Juve's midfield was miles better than Madrid's.

Re: Higuain to Napoli is Done
Not everybody rates Higuain as some sort of fantastic world beater.
And that includes Real Madrid who 'made my son feel unwanted' in the words of Higuains Dad.
Face it, he's a very good, talented striker. But not on this elite level like people are suggesting here.
He's choked in big games all his RM life, not to say he hasn't had some good big game performances. But you'd expect that, he's also had plenty of terrible ones.

Cant compare Vucinic and Higuain. Both have different roles and the former is quite inconsistent too.
But that CL record of Vucinic is undeniable though

Vucinic is not the main target at all
He supported Matri or Giovinco, hence most of his work is normally drifting in or with his back to goal. Not to mention his link up play with Marchisio who makes the runs.

Right, can you please bump a post saying Boateng is world class
And you are still obsessed with Abate He was a forum meme like Podolski and btw a starter for Italy just as we all Milanisti predicted
