Re: #6 - Thiago Alcántara
Thiago's ball after last night's hattrick. Says "Nos vemos en Manchester" (see you in Manchester).
F**k off Barca.

Did I just hear "Adit" say that Thiago barely makes mistakes.....That's his biggest flaw.Sure he's still young and a bit inexperienced and that could improve over time but no way he 'barely' makes mistakes right now.

Now if Barça fans were as hysterical as arsenal fans we would be outraged at De Gea tapping and hate United and be outraged forever.

Don't compare one comment to what we, Barça fans, have had to endure from Arsenal fans for the Cesc transfer saga.

So compare the importance of both Cesc and Thiago to their respective clubs at the time of the "tapping up" ?

Re: #6 - Thiago Alcántara
No Barça fan really cares about "De Gea's tapping". We are annoyed at our board for putting a ridculously low release clause and at Tito for not playing Thiago, who is better than Fabregas, more.
Arsenal fans should have been angry at their club and Wenger for not showing ambition in order to keep Fabregas instead of angry at Barça players.

Why arent barca fans more angry with tito and roura who surely must have know about the release clause ? Its a gross failure of management all round from the board and the football mangers .
Unless it isn't . Perhaps Tito was so determined to win la liga and emerge from under Guadiola's shadow that he didn't want to risk any results and didnt't feel Thiago was good enough for him to put enough trust in .

Re: #6 - Thiago Alcántara
That's fair enough . Well it seems like Thiago is seriously considering his postiion at Barca and feels that Barca wont give him the playing time he wants because surely at this point Barca have offered Thiago a new contract .

Because footballers at Barcelona don't get picked because of clauses. They get picked for performances. Otherwise in the future every player will demand such a clause. Why should Xavi, Iniesta, Fabregas, Busquets, Messi not demand such clauses for example? Or the other upcoming youngstars like Deulofeu?
Fact of the matter is that Thiago has missed around 20 games this season because of injury alone. He wasn't even available for the whole first half of the season bar 2 or 3 games. And once he came back his performances weren't always ThiaGOAT like as in the U21 tournament against scrub Serie B defenders with 0 experience. Here you go:
Right at the beginning.
He's not quite ready to be a starter for Barcelona yet. He still gets overconfident and careless at times, sprays alibi passes around and loses concentration right infront of his own back 4.

Thiago was injured 7 weeks. not half a season. Also, I disagree, he's ready to be a starter for us.

He got injured last season.
He missed the pre-season and the beginning of the season until September where he gave his comeback against Getafe after missing the first 3 Liga games.
3 games later he got injured again in the Sevilla game for 7 weeks.
After that second injury he came back in late November the 25th.
So, yeah. He missed pretty much the complete first half of the season if we also consider that after over 6 months without match fitness he needed at least until January to get in any sort of shape.
And no, he's not ready to displace Xavi.

Re: #6 - Thiago Alcántara
Wow, I thought Cesc's performance recently and this season should win over more ppl but still not it seems... Thiago I like a lot as well, but is he better than Cesc? Its not right to compare, they are pretty different players playing different roles. Definitely Barca need to keep and will keep both no doubt in my mind though!

Re: #6 - Thiago Alcántara
Agreed Free_Cat.
De Gea is just doing what he can for his club Manchester United. Why would I be angry at him? Zidane is just doing what he can for Madrid (regarding Bale), why would I be angry with him?
Fact of the matter is this whole tapping up stuff is bullshit. If a player leaves that's a failure of the club, not anyone else. It's Arsenal's fault Cesc left the same way it's Barca's fault if Thiago leaves and it's Tottenham's fault if Bale leaves. Stop projecting your own clubs faults onto a different club because your club failed.
If Thiago leaves I will be pissed at Barca, not Man U or De Gea.
Anyway Thiago and Cesc are about as equally skilled atm but Thiago has 10x more talent.
