Re: Isco
To be honest his time in malaga means fk all to me. Players can be made to look good or bad and in iscos case he looked bad in malaga but has not impressed me one bit here.
In madrid hes been piss poor and I might have no mercy when I criticize him but he clearly isn't playing well.
he's better defensively then ronaldo and benzema.. which is not much of an achievement. to be a cm you better be better then those two at defense..
And yeah, I'm saying isco has no end product.. because it is what it is.. he has zero vision and holds on too the ball too long, killing potential attacks and the pace of the game.

Re: Isco
i agree with most people on here, isco started off well, and his direct approach was more than welcome. however at madrid, one element that holds key is consistency, especially in a league where we need to win more than 90 percent of our games. isco has been consistently poor of late, and thus has been rightly placed on the bench. however, he's young, like 21/22. so its no cause for alarm, i see no reason why he can't improve, its not liike he's in his mid 20s and has peaked already....if next season however he shows signs of not adjusting to the team's style of play, then the alarm bells can start ringing.....but as i mentioned a while back, i never thought of isco coming to madrid to have the same role or impact he had at malaga, i've always thought of him as a long term signing, hell he was playing the junior european championships when we got him, he's not mature yet

Re: Isco
Isco is not a midfielder... just isn't. The closest to the midfield he can play is as a 10 and we don't use a 10 in a 433. So he has to play on the left or right. Well, we have CR7 and Bale in those 2 places.
It's going to be very tough for him at Madrid unless he learn a brand new position: The CM role. But i don't think Madrid are going to wait around for Isco to maybe develop into a good CM... pretty sure Madrid is going to sign a top CM this coming summer.

Re: Isco
Isco insists that he is happy at Real Madrid and is adamant that he can play in the same team as James Rodriguez.
The Spain international only joined Los Blancos from Malaga for €30 million last summer and enjoyed a promising start to his career at the Santiago Bernabeu only to slip down the pecking order following the arrival of Gareth Bale for a world-record fee and the impressive form of Angel Di Maria.
The latter has now departed, for Manchester United, but the signing of James Rodriguez has once again hindered his hopes of nailing down a regular berth in Carlo Ancelotti's starting line-up.
However, Isco, who was linked with the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal during the summer, claims that he has not been left downhearted by the acquisition of a fellow attacking midfielder and believes that he and James could flourish in the same team.
"We are compatible," the Spain international told reporters on Tuesday. "He is a quality player and I have not had any problems with him. James is helping us a lot.
"We all know that the competition for places is high here. It's true that began last season as a starter, but nobody remembers that now.
"Like all players, I always want to play. But I am ready to be in the team whenever the coach wants.
"I'm playing very little and hope to play more. Last year was amazing, winning titles, and I am very happy at Real Madrid."
Isco conceded, though, that he will have to curb his attacking instincts if he is to secure more game time under Ancelotti.
"The boss wants me to get involved in defending more and that's what I'm doing," he explained.
"If I want to get more minutes, that's what I know I have to do.
"People know that I'm good with the ball at my feet but now I have to try to defend better."
Isco will be hoping for a start when Madrid continue the defence of their Champions League crown on Wednesday with a game against Ludogorets in Bulgaria.
He's been playing great in the LCM / Di Maria role

Re: Isco
this guy is tremendously overrated by stupid kids that think that football is just stupid trick and useless skills.
He isn't close to the level of James which is a world class player, with a perfect technique and an uncommon vision and football intelligence, which is called overrated for some mysterious reason.
Isco is another clown like nasri and coutinho, and players of this type.

If that statement is true, then you're the only one in this thread overrating him. Congrats on being a complete tool, hopefully you're gone from this forum before long.

Re: Isco
In my opinion future Real Madrid must be built based on Isco and James. Number 23 is magical, one of the best in the last years, being the typical talentous offensive midfielder. Both, james and Isco are very young and i think together with Odegaard and Kroos will command european football for the next years. Big talent inside the "White House"

Re: Isco
Interesting to see how Rafa uses him.
I don't think he will be used in the pivot as Modric-Kroos/New CM will be used there. James most likely CAM.
In the starting 11, Isco doesn't seem to have a place. But he will still play over 40 games in one way or another

James will be on the right with Isco as cover... Bale is on the left. Word is, Benz will play behind Ronaldo in the middle.

Re: Isco
danilo will take over carvajal if the latter 1 continue his last season form.
just hope ramos grow the fuk up and lead the line.
danilo-varane-ramos-marcelo could be fap-worthy for some years.
benitez probably will try isco as cm that rotate with the duo.

Re: Isco
Carvajal was great in the first part of the season. Then he took a duo in form like the rest of the team. He's a future captain and IMO he should be a starter, or at least played in the rotational system of Marcelo/Coentrao.

Re: Isco
I think we should sell bale and buy sterling and make him rotate with isco and james for two positions.
Sterling is the closest to be the neymar type attacker, he has same body (stronger), pace and agility and trickery, good dribbling etc and most importantly good run making ability (hazard lacks that).
Although his finishing and end product and also decision make lacks, but he is 20 and will come good eventually, neymar also wasn't this good when he was 20.
Sterling also has experience playing in physically demanding league and top flight experience.
