Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 2
currently working my way through parks and rec and arrested development
if you want to get in to parks and rec, do yourself a favor and completely skip the first season after episode one, its total trash
the seasons that follow don't even feel like the same show

^ have you watched curb your enthusiasm? GOAT
I love Curb and AD, always keep meaning to watch parks and rec when I see the occasional episode on TV, just too lazy atm

Thinking of watching a new show, any recommendations?
I prefer thriller type shows like Walking Dead and Breaking Bad. Also the show has to be currently running.

Ah yea Psych, but that is more mystery based along with comedy. I meant comedies like Community/New girl/big bang theory etc

just did parks and rec earlier this summer, and arrested development's soon on my list. parks and rec was amazing, can't believe it took me this long to start it, but you're right the 1st season isn't very good. everything else is absolutely hilarious though.[/quote]

Parcs and Rec is amazing. Community is great too until season 2. Never got into Arrested Development. But definitely planning on restarting it.

I enjoyed the Sopranos, never really understood all the hype, but sad to report James Gandolfini died of a heart attack in Italy. He must have been watching the Confederations Cup

All people can talk about these is 'Game of Thrones'.
Lots of sex and violence apparently, just my kinda thing. I'll start watching it.

I'm afraid not. Heard about it but I've never seen it, as far as I know it's not been on T.V
What's it about in short?

I won't tell you what's it about however just know that it's full of GOATNESS. You will be shooting yourself in the foot once you realize what you've been missing out on thus far.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 2
So it's summer time and I have a lot of time so I might get into a show. The last show I watched was House of Cards over spring break (by that I mean actually watched a full season in a row).
I'm confronted with two choices here that look interesting and everybody loves. Do I watch Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad? I'll probably watch both over the summer but should I watch first?
And which is better in your opinion?
I'm leaning towards Breaking Bad atm because occasionally I find it on TV and Bryan Cranston is a certified badass of a man and actor.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 2
Breaking Bad will end this summer for good. So you would do nicely to catch up before August/September whenever it starts. You'll have shit tons of time to watch GoT before next April.
Absolutely in love with both. If you were going to watch just one, I would recommend GoT. But since you want to watch both I would say start with Breaking Bad.
