Tbf nerman is an undisputed starter whereas dante and gustavo are contenders. Its apples to oranges.

DvB is not a half bad CB while Javi at CB was world class last year. Central midfield? Tymo is solid servant for Bayern and a respectable play. Add him.

The Brazilian FA basically told Dante and Gustavo that they would be out of the squad of the Selecao if they don't skip the DFB Cup final.

This is insane.

I love international football to death, as most of you know. I even much prefer it to club football. It's a footballer's greatest calling to represent his country. But come on. The German FA Cup isn't a Mickey Mouse cup. All teams go in there with their absolute strongst squad, and try to win it. Hell, Bayern came very close to conceding the equalizer in the final, and the Brazil FA thinks they can just steal two of their regulars with a bullshit ultimatum?
They awakened the Hoeness now, do they really think they'll ever be done any favors from clubs if they act like that? And let's remember that all FAs need the clubs to constantly do them favors. After all players like Gustavo and Dante signed f*cking contracts and get paid to play for their club. A lot. So now those two poor guys get caught in the middle between the world's most expensive sporting brand, and the world's most successful FA. For nothing. So they can miss an important cup final for a bloody friendly. Well done, everyone.

Frankly, I wouldn't be *that* upset if the Brazilian FA wouldn't have allowed Neymar to go to Spain to be presented there on Monday. I mean, Dante and Gustl missed the pretty much unique and once in a lifetime treble win and party while that Neymar presentation could have been done at any time!
